It is strange to me that anyone could realize that Obama just obligated the America taxpayers to paying the pensions of auto workers while handing over the auto industry to those workers... which means they get to share the multi billions of dollars he is giving them for their service to him in the last election, and not see something is wrong.
It is also strange that someone would get "giddy" from my rage regarding Americans allowing themselves to be disrespected by Obama. There is nothing happy, exciting, gay, or bright about a nation allowing itself to be abused and trashed by a glib con man.
"This is 2009 America...not 1917 Russia. We as American's think differently...." In what way are Americans today "thinking" differently than the Russians of 1917 who woke up one morning to find themselves slaves of Liberals that just took over their government? I am of course anticipating an America a few months from now.... and it seems many are unable to get their thoughts around what is actually taking place in America today?

Exactly who is telling you nothing is wrong with what you described above? The MSM's? As far as I'm aware, the American people are not 'giddy' or happy about the Auto Industry debacle. So exactly what is so strange to you? That congress led by Pelosie and Reid, who know better then the average American, pushes for 'bail outs'....or...that our current President went along for the ride? No, Obama is not done yet...more of our tax dollars will be squandered before all is said and done. If Obama first 100 days are any indicator of what we can expect...there will be a very large thud in the dem political arena come next election cycle. ;)

Your Op was cited as 'giddy' in another thread on the same topic. The way in which you prose your argument did come across to the average reader as a form of giddiness. The situation is far from bright or happy and yes, our Nation is being disillusioned by a glib con man.
However, the exception to 1917 Russia and 2009 America is the type of government we posses. There are legal and political remedies at our disposal that 1917 Russian's did not have. As a people we are also far from the mind set of 1917 Russians. We are worlds apart due to technology and human growth/development from what people of that time would even begin to dream of becoming.

To answer your question...1917 Russian would be a completely different mind set in comparison to today's 2009 American modern mind set. That should be obvious to anyone who has taken a humanities class. We have medical advancements that only could be dreamed of in 1917. We have internet and free press; We have telephones in every home..and most have cell phones. We live in a 24 hour news cycle that keeps it's population informed 24/7. We have a Free Republic that is democratically run..which means, We the People are responsible in keeping our governing body in line with the People's needs. 1917 Russia wouldn't know what our world looks like, much less imagine it and operate in it. I could go on and on...but I think you understand my point.
For decades, the American people became lazy towards our government. We have allowed a false trust to form that political leaders had our best interest at heart. That, in these modern days, has now been exposed for the lie it is. Thankfully, there is much we can do to remedy the problem. Look at the Tea Party's that have recently gone on...they may be passive...but it sends a huge message to Washington. ...and put's them all on notice. Washington is becoming nervous...which is a good tool to be used considering the damage that can be done if we allow it to just wander on down the road with no lead.
No..present day American's are not 1917 Russians. But then again, I bet you knew that didn't you?
