When it rains, it storms on Edward's parade. He has reaped what he has sown:
John Edwards faces federal investigation (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/John-Edwards-faces-federal-investigation-44290527.html)
His once-prominent political career is buried and the turmoil of his marriage is playing out in public. Now, John Edwards is facing a federal inquiry.
The two-time Democratic presidential candidate acknowledged Sunday that investigators are assessing how he spent his campaign funds — a subject that could carry his extramarital affair from the tabloids to the courtroom. Edwards' political action committee paid more than $100,000 for video production to the firm of the woman with whom Edwards had an affair.
"I am confident that no funds from my campaign were used improperly," Edwards said in the statement. "However, I know that it is the role of government to ensure that this is true. We have made available to the United States both the people and the information necessary to help them get the issue resolved efficiently and in a timely matter."

I didn't realize she had written one. I was under the impression that she didn't have long to live during the campaign, but perhaps I just made the assumption.
have you read it? Did she give any indication of being a classic Iron Maiden fan? I mean who doesn't like Aces High?!?!?!

I actually believe Elizabeth Edwards has shown a ton of class and courage.
Her husband is, however, sleaze.

Fox is running a video of Edwards combing his hair with the song "I feel pretty" playing...

Ton of class?
Ton of courage?
If she had shown the same public ire and vitriol for her adulterer husband as she did for her Republican neighbor maybe I could see the class and the courage.
But she kept her mouth shut and ate the **** sandwiches that John fed her cause she wanted that title "First Lady", she wasn't about to mess up even a remote possibility of getting it by speaking out on her husbands affairs during his campaign.
To heck with the both of them.

She found out through him about the affair because he'd already been threatened that it would come out publicly and they wanted to give him the chance of telling her before she found out brutally. She wanted him to pull out of the race, he refused. She couldnt complain about something she was unaware of. She stayed with him God knows why....maybe because she needs someone to be there as she dies, even if it's John Edward. The fear of dying alone has to be a lot scarier than dying knowing that someone is there and you can at least depend on them at least financially. If you say that's convenience, well she deserves to take him for all he's got after he cheated on her when he KNEW she was dying. It's a ****ty thing to do. She's a champion, he's a....somehow piece of **** is too good for him.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like Edwards at all, he is a sleazeball. I don't condone what she did politically either... but I do have to say that I feel bad for the fact that she has cancer... If she were a conservative you'd have the hateful left saying "Good... hope she dies..." Sorry, but I refuse to be just like them.
Even Sean said that on his TV show tonight. Oh yeah, the hateful right...

Maybe I should re-phrase my thoughts. I was taking Lou's quote as face value...
But she kept her mouth shut and ate the **** sandwiches that John fed her cause she wanted that title "First Lady", she wasn't about to mess up even a remote possibility of getting it by speaking out on her husbands affairs during his campaign.
All I was getting at was that even IF she did act in what could be called a politically selfish manner, it doesn't matter at this point.
Does that clear things up?:)
