This may have already been discussed, but Fox led with it at 6 AM here in the west this morning.

Apparently, the attorney for some of the funds that were supposed to be first in line to be paid by Chrysler, the funds Obama ripped into the other day as being non cooperative, is going into court this morning to tell the world that the Obama administration pressured those funds by unleashing the "White House Press Corps" on them.

I've linked an interview with the attorney, Thomas Lauria (Probably spelled that wrong) that was first done on a Detroit radio station and replayed on Mark Levin's show.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GPNvjec-DA

Obviously, all this has to be heard in court. But from this administration....There's no question in my mind that what Mr. Lauria is alledging and probably happened.

Hope and Change.

By Jeff Green and Caroline Salas

“This confirms the fear, which right along has been that the Obama administration is more sensitive or beholden to the unions than the bondholders,” Fridson said. “It makes it clear that GM bondholders aren’t likely to be able to work out anything outside of bankruptcy.”
GM bondholders proposed April 30 they get a 58 percent ownership stake in the Detroit-based automaker in exchange for their $27 billion in unsecured claims. Bondholders are objecting to GM’s proposal they get a 10 percent share of GM equity while a union health fund would get $10 billion in cash and as much as a 39 percent stake for $20 billion in unsecured claims.

Can you say political payback, I knew you could.

Wait, are you saying that Obama is saying one thing and doing another?

Again?

What a shocker.. I can't believe he would do that.

Of course Obama did it, we all heard the reports of how these funds were (Oh the inhumanity!, trigger scenes of flooding, raging fires and lamenting women and children in rags) placing their investors (to whom they have a fudiciary responsibility) before Obama's political objectives.

And interestingly enough, at the same time I was typing the OP for this thread....

Fox was teasing a story about Obama pressuring the folks at GM so the Unions could take over there.

So the media is state-run now? Obama can just sic them on people who aren't cooperative?

Apparently, this will be a discussion that will be heard in court starting today.

It will be interesting.

I wish I wasn't so comfortable believing that our young, clean, president of change was so capable of doing exactly what is being alledged by this attorney. Fox is reporting this lawyer is a major player, meaning he probably wouldn't make these statements without something evidence wise to back them up.

Should be interesting.

I don't know if I'd go as far as saying state-run....

Maybe just Extremely cooperative!

Pretty much. But they've been a defacto arm of the DNC for years.

It would be nice to know how cooperative the White House Press Corps would have been....assuming the truth of Mr. Lauria's statements.

Unfortunately, we are stuck with them until swearing in day, January 2013.

Until then....The Republican party must get it's poop together in order to offer a genuine alternative to these big government socialists thugs.

Edited to Add - The 2010 Midterms are vital to the future of the country.

I'll love it when Congress gets off their fat ass and realizes that the President doesn't set economic policy. The only thing the President is Constitutionally able to do is either veto or pass the budget. It's not HIS job to figure out how our tax dollars are spent. I wonder how many ordinary citizens are in the know enough to realize that when speaking about our President's economic policies. Read the COTUS for crying out loud.

We were yelling "Wake UP America" when all this Goon-style governing happened. Now it's time that Congress "woke up". They have to live in this country too and it's going to be the same type of lifestyle for them as for us when we fire their butts! Few e-mails and phone calls from now till July 4th is in order to your representatives.

One would be extremely naive to believe that the White House doesn't share and exploit a cozy relationship with the media sources that give them favorable coverage...the GOP did it when they were in power & the Dems are doing it now that they are in power.

Skippy, I do not think Chrysler is going to survive. Daimler couldn't save Chrysler, and that private investment group couldn't save Chrysler, so I am quite confident that a UAW/Fiat partnership is doomed for failure...furthermore, conservatives & anti-union types will avoid the Chrysler products out of protest.

I'd rather just buy an actual Fiat lol

I drive a Dodge Ram, love that truck.

I wouldn't boycott Chrysler, however I'm wondering who in that new UAW/Fiat government created partnership is going to build cars that Americans want to buy. Since the government is basically running the company, it's fair to assume is it not that the government will be dictating based on how green those cars are....I'm wondering if my big loud Dodge diesel is on it's way out the door.
