View Full Version : Shall America fall without a shot being fired?

I read of danger, I see much hand wringing on TV. I hear Newt say that Obama has no authority to do what he is doing, and yet Obama [do we refer to him as President or Chairman, or his Imperial Majesty? ] keeps doing what he wants to do.

He has not as yet made his move on disarming we citizens [although I suspect that is coming in the back door]. He is holding off on closing down Rush, Hannity, et al, since he is not quite ready to do that. The rate of the printing presses cranking out paper currency backed by debt will destroy the dollar, and that will take care of that... and how many Americans starving and unable to feed their families will be up to mounting a counter to the takeover of Obama? That will be much too late.

The last 100 days has proven that Obama can take over the nation with no authorization whatsoever. The only thing standing between the complete destruction of America and now is perhaps a month more or less. If the people who did not vote for Obama wait for the next election to exercise their displeasure, they may be quite surprised to find that due to some extraordinary reason, Obama has declared a national emergency and a state of Marshal Law will be in place until the brown shirts are solidified.

Each day many thousands of governmental leeches are added to the base of Obama. Banks, the auto industry, the Congress, teachers, economics pundits, all national media save a few individuals on Fox.... all dance to the tune of Obama, Obama, Obama. Any Conservative who sees what is happening and believes that this is just a temporary alteration in America is delusional. Suffering a paralysis due to disbelief of the swiftness of the destruction of what used to be a great nation.

Each day the Liberal army gains ground America dies. The teeter-totter is beginning to tilt in favor of death of Freedom, and the rate of those climbing on the lowering side is greater than those clinging to the rising side. How long do we have to fight against this takeover? That is the question, isn't it?

I do not believe we have even another month. If some shot is not fired soon, I'm afraid those of us who remember Communism will soon find we are experiencing 1917 all over again.

But don't anyone take their eyes off the TV, or remove the earphones from that great music just yet.... we still have electricity, even though that will end soon. Greed and the delusional thinking that causes the Liberal elite to imagine that they will not be touched by a nation whose work force is now slaves of the state is due to youth and lack of memory of the darkness that spread over Russia following the revolution of 1917.... but I remember quite well.

I have to agree with Haplo here; there is most certainly a 'giddiness' to this post over a subject that can not be compared to 1917 Russia in the first darn place.

We, the people of the United States of America have gone to war with our government before. Whether a positive outcome or a negative outcome...there is still an outcome of change towards the will of the people. Unlike Russia, without populace support, there is nothing the President, Congress or Senate can do. Our Congress majority are coming up to election time soon..most incumbents won't make it back to their seats. The same can be said for many senators. A lame duck president for 3 years is a sad sight indeed...Impeachment ever looming when the populace is fed up and needs any excuse to oust a President.

This is 2009 America...not 1917 Russia. We as American's think differently, expect more from our government officials and act when pressed to act to correct any mistake in trusting certain individuals with the mantle of governance and power. All this will be done without a shot being fired...and the American' populace will be the victor once again.

Hand wringing aside; I believe this current administration is just what the doctor ordered. Americans had distanced themselves from the political goings on in Washington; became lazy in putting in the time needed to keep government on a leash; complacent in that 'some one else would do the work needed'; and lost sight of keeping a close eye on their government which has grown to an unruly dog that must be retrained. A painful lesson..... yes..... but a valuable one none the less. ;)

I agree that Obama is doing a great job considering he is taking over from one of the worst presidents on record.
There are economic problems that rival those of 1929 and he is taking actions to avoid a total crash.
When F.D.R came in he knew that things had to be done and if something didn't work then something else had to be tried.
Every patriotic American should be hoping for his sucess.
Anybody that voted for Bush II twice should be thankful that his successor is so much more intelligent and articulate.
Some on this forum claim Obama is considered a messiah by his supporters.
No one has said he is a messiah but Bush II has put the country in a position where we need one.

First 100 days have been a quick hard slap in the face for many in our Nation...on both sides of the political aisle. Great Job? Hmmmm....I'll reserve that term for when I actually see 'great' being done. Until that time...old boss is the same as the new boss...

Not quiet rival the great depression...but a huge economic slump...you betcha. All of Washington is to blame here...not just one person. Dems have been in control of the purse strings for over two years now...making an already difficult and hard situation even more difficult and hard. We have to be honest here....Washington as a whole is not working in the American peoples best interest. ;)

When F.D.R came in he knew that things had to be done and if something didn't work then something else had to be tried.

And if that doesn't work...throw trillions in our tax dollars at it? That obviously isn't working. Perhaps it time to stop taking our marching orders from the past and apply some common sense for our future?

Every patriotic American should be hoping for his sucess.

I do want our government to succeed. Succeed in serving the will of the people of the USA. I don't want Obama and his ilk to succeed in striping away our rights and freedoms, pushing us into a pseudo European socialism dressed up as a democracy.

No one has said he is a messiah but Bush II has put the country in a position where we need one.

I voted twice for Bush 2....you betcha. Seeing what choice I had on the other side..he was the only choice. In fact, many would say the same for the Obama and McCain choice...same guy, different color tie pin. ;) But that's the main point anymore isn't it? We don't have choices in true conservative verses true liberal anymore do we? It's become a choice of either red or blue..as in the colors. Sad is what it is. At some point the American populace on both sides of the political aisle must stand up, wake up and insert themselves into the Washington world in order to fix it. No one man can do it alone...even a mere man like President Obama.

Washington needs a leash...a tight leash that is reigned in by the American public. Open conversations need to be had in honest discourse between liberals, conservatives and moderates. If we do not find a commonality in saving our government from totalitarianism...then we are dooming ourselves to a bleak and uncertain future. Our founding fathers have got to be rolling over in their graves.....

Anyone in favor of what Obama is doing is also in favor of what Bush did. They have the same policies. And both have set the stage for a crash that makes us beg for times like 1929.
