I am getting a Bersa Model 383 .380 acp like the one below from my uncle.

I had the opportunity to handle the gun and it felt good in my hands but it was without the clip at the time so I haven't shot it yet.

He had the gun given to him by a neighbor when her attorney husband died, she found it in his personal effects when she cleaned his office, but there was no documentation for the gun.

My uncle has a police officer friend who ran its serial number which was clean, but he also said it appeared that although the gun had been loaded that it had never been fired.

The gun is clean and looks right out of the box.

So has anyone here owned one and have any pertinent information to share?

Really just familiarize yourself with the safety. There were 2 versions one with the trigger safety one without.
I used to carry the Thunder 380 from Bersa. Liked it alot but had issues with the rear sight wanting to pop out of its seat constantly so I got rid of it.

Did you try locktite on the sight before you got rid of it?

That is a shame.

Hope I don't have that problem.

I don't like the location of the safety but I guess I will get used to it.

It is styled like a Walther PPK I had but the Bersa is larger, which is good, cause the Walther was too small for my hands and just never felt right.

I couldnt get it in the right area without screwing up the sight picture and I didnt want to get medieval on it since that would screw up my opportunity for selling it.
