I'm a film student at Central New Mexico Community College in Albuquerque. For my Cultural Studies class we had to do an end of semeseter project. While most did very liberal topics via power point I presented a very conservative view point in regard to our economy and poverty via a produced documentary. Anyway, I got an "A" from my very liberal teacher. Since then I have gained a reputation among the faculty as a student who disagrees but is not disgreeable. This conservative has not went underground..I'm leading the charge!

Good for you. Those who disagree do so out of fear or ignorance, both of which are equally not ones own problem. Just remember to pretend to be just a little dumb. The greatest advantage the Conservative has over the Liberal is when the Liberal "thinks" one is his/her inferior.
Peace

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLSHJI6dxJoA conservative got an A from a liberal? According to this board that shouldn't be possible, after all it's "common knowledge" that liberals rule academia and hate anything that's not in lock step with them.

All sarcasm aside...congratz

Just remember to pretend to be just a little dumb. Why feed into their delusion?

PeaceI disagree. The greatest advantage is that a Conservative can step back from emotional thinking and respond logically.

I agree with Hannity "Disagree but don't be disagreable". The trick I have found when arguing points is to use facts from neutral sources like GOVT stats. Another teacher of mine (US History) quoted Michael Moore from his book "Dude, where's my Country", I challenged her by saying "That's as valid as me quoting from Rush Limbaugh".. a few of my fellow students (two were Liberals) agreed.

This is what is going on in the halls of acadamia. Luckily, there are some who are intellectually honest (This includes both of my liberal teachers, unless they are just humoring me) that try to balance things, it's a students job to question when diviatation is discovered...
