Hey All!
I have been pretty absent from the boards this past week or so, work has ramped up to a crazy pace, so I haven't had much time during the day to check in with you all, and I am just to "spent" at night to bother with the computer.
I know we have a wide range of jobs/careers here at Hannity, and I was wondering how particular sectors were doing.
I am in the legal field and we are doing a bunch of work redirecting our practice to address Elder Law and Long Term Care Planning (Medicaid Planning) since the population is getting older and the probability of needing Medicaid is fairly substantial. Plus if not planned for, pretty much can wipe you out financially in your older years and screw up any inheritance you want for your heirs.
Plus there is the issue of Obama changing the tax code. Taxing business owners making more than $250G (most small employers - my boss is one of them)and eliminating the "death tax"exemptions. Those two issues alone will have serious tax consequences to small business owners and the inheritance tax on those trying to pass along a business, real estate, or other asset to their heirs.
Depending on your job/profession, this may be an area you may want to address with a local attorney, financial planner, tax planner.
So... What "industry" are you in, and what is being done to adapt to the current economy and "coming" changes to the law and tax code?
