Amid swine flu outbreak, racism goes viral
Anti-immigrant hatred spreads on talk radio, Web sites
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30467300
“No contact anywhere with an illegal alien!” conservative talk show host Michael Savage advised his U.S. listeners this week on how to avoid the swine flu. “And that starts in the restaurants" where he said, you “don’t know if they wipe their behinds with their hands!”
And Thursday, Boston talk radio host Jay Severin was suspended after calling Mexican immigrants "criminalians" during a discussion of swine flu and saying that emergency rooms had become "essentially condos for Mexicans."
---
Swine **** Flu Spreads, Minorities and Illegals hit Hardest... By RACISM!...
Honestly, Savage needs to Tone it Down...
I Know it Pays his Bills, but Seriously, he is just Feeding the Flames...

Isn't it interesting that the LEFT - especially the ACLU - defended Nazis in Skokie Illinois and defended the burnings of the American flag for years but exhibits a deafening silence when conservatives are threatened with loss of their jobs for free speech.

When are you cons going to understand what "free speech" actually entails.

Or nurses doing their jobs? My sister went to the ER yesterday and the first question she was asked if she had been in Mexico or had contact with recent "immigrants" to the area.
And yeah, Savage needs to reign it in and stop giving the LMSM their twisted ammo.

Kind of like here, somebody else pays the bills......and your free speech rights ends when you enter the forum door. Evidently Severin's employer doesn't want to be tainted with his hate. That is their right. He can go do it on the street corner all he wants, just not on their station.

Not only is the blaming of migrants racism, it is also completely wrong. The flu originated from a 950k swine CAFO in Vera Cruz, a subsidiary of Smithfield Foods, an American Agribusiness. The problem is NAFTA, agribusiness, and industrial farming. Anyone who says otherwise has rocks in their heads.

There's a difference between blaming them and simply pointing out who's infected and where they originate. Last time I checked having the flu is not something you blame on people but limiting the spread of the epidemic begins with identifying and containing those already infected.

With the rising percentage of Americans being Latino in origin and this minority soon becoming a substantial portion of the population, it bodes well for the future of the Republican party to openly embrace them the way you have lately.

How is having a problem with ILLEGAL aliens racist exactly?
I have issues with any ILLEGAL person in this country, participating in its benefits while others wait in line to do it legally. Yes, I have a problem with that, I don't care if they came here illegally from Bosnia, Mexico or freakin England, if they are here, they need to go back and get in line behind all the people who are doing it properly. We tried to get my husbands father over here, but he didn't make it before he died, I guess we should have brought him over anyway and forget about the visa experiation.
Call me a racist and I'll show you my nightly dinner table, we look like a UN delegation. and my husband is a LEGAL immigrant and we both find it exasperating to see illegals in this country cut in line from the thousands that are waiting to get in my the proper means.
All that being said, I don't listen to Savage.

This only proves my point. Some of the founding fathers were religious, but they took great pains to create a secular government. The First amendment actually has two clauses about freedom of religion. The government will not establish a religion nor will the government interfere with the practice of religion.
You're quote only had Madison saying he hopes people believe in God and follow some of his religious tenants.
