My message to the NRA, "Leave me Alone". In the past 3 days i have received 5 calls from them. Apparently they are on a membership drive or something. I say I am on a fixed income and can't afford to help them financially, they then say I understand that but we aren't asking for a lot, then they go on to lecture me about how our 2nd amendment right our in jeopardy. While they are fighting a noble cause, and while I support anyone who will fight for constitutional rights of any kind, I cannot support them in any way financially. NRA, leave me alone.

What the phone call really tuns into is a lecture about how important our 2nd amendment right are and how badly they need my money to fight an anti-gun congress, President, and Court System so that we'll keep our constitutional rights. I have been hanging up in the middle of the lecture.

I will do as you say though, btw what is the BBB?

Go online and find the national do not call list web page.

Add your numbers to it. If they call again, tell them to add your number to their do not call list.

If you would like to be a member, I am willing to address this with you.

Not really interested in being a member, since #1 I don't have much money and #2 I have never used a firearm and never plan to.

I have never signed up for any of those lists because the paranoid part of me believes that the less lists that I am on the better off I am.

I joined the NRA long ago when I did not own a personal firearm. Firearm ownership is not relevant to membership.

So long as their calls are not barred, tehy will continue to call, and that's everybody.

I have been a member for a couple of years and haven't gotten a phone call yet, thankfully. However, pretty much anytime the mailman stops by he leaves me junk mail from them.

If we lose the 2nd Amendment, the rest are sure to follow.

I have this and am never bothered by telemarketers. Best $5 a month I have ever spent - we've had it for years- http://www.closecall.com/local/features/call_intercept.html
