BOOOOOOSHHHH

I have been having a hard time breathing this last 3 or 4 days for no reason except MAYBE mild asthma or anxiety? I have a sinus infection and am on an antibiotic. However I have never had this type of breathing trouble with any sinus infection ever before. I had to miss work on Saturday and have to been to both a clinic and emergency.
I am 36 years old,non-smoker. Kevin is my name.:D
I cannot stop thinking/focusing on my breathing..or lack there of.It is shallow and I cant seem to get enough air in my lungs.:frown:
I am on an asthma inhaler now and am watching my diet and exercising slowly.
Please pray that this is nothing major and it will pass very very soon!
thank you and God Bless you all, Kevin.

Please go to the Doctor Kevin! I have this problem and being overweight does not help. Please, I beg you, go to the Doctor, if you can't afford it, then do it anyway, tell em to put it on your tab, lol.
I know how traumatic this is, please go get help, even if it's to the ER, I had rather see you deal with a $1000 bill than suffer. God bless.

I did have a panic attack last week for the first time in years, but this is not one..this is a constant (4 days now) having a really hard time just breathing properly.I try to relax and breath properly but I think about it even more...
p.s.- I am on Effexor XR 37.5 mg for anxiety for years now.

do you have pain in the rib area, like someone trying to pry them apart??/
if you do then I suggest you ask yer doctor if it could be -pleurisy.
I had it about 10 years ago and was in pain for 3weeks./ I was also -off- work during that time..
BOOOOOOSHHHH
April 28th, 2009, 8:03 pm
no I do not have that...no wheezing either...
johnrocks
April 28th, 2009, 8:08 pm
panic attacks, been there and done that, you need to get some Xanax or valium, something to relax you I would think.
BOOOOOOSHHHH
April 28th, 2009, 8:12 pm
nope...that stuff knocks me OUT.That is why Effexor is great for me..8 years on it and am on the lowest dose.
This breathing thing IMO is maybe anxiety but never had this specific thing of focusing on my breathing so much and not getting enough air...

Well, best of luck Kevin, I get them, got a thread here, woke up like at 4A.M. having a panic attack, now I take a 2mg. valium when I feel the first sign of one.

My prayers go with the others'.
My daughter is a severe asthmatic -- and yes ANY infection always makes it worse, but especially sinus.

The link between asthma and cows' milk is familiar to many young asthma sufferers and their parents. I first became aware of the connection through my cousin's experiences with his four-year-old son. Since infancy, my cousin's son has experienced severe asthma attacks and has been hospitalized twice for asthma-related pneumonia. When his asthma attacks become more frequent or more severe, my cousin and his wife respond by temporarily eliminating milk and milk products from his diet, and it usually works.http://www.naturalnews.com/010443.html
• Eliminate cow's milk and all cow's milk products from the diet. Milk protein increases mucus secretion in the respiratory passages. In addition to eliminating dairy products themselves, check the labels of other foods to make sure that milk is not among the ingredients.http://www.azstarnet.com/sn/byauthor/280536
Hope you get to feeling better.

hmmmm. and like you said too many dairy products which is really more sugar if you think about it.
the weird thing is almost everything was normal..just a bit of poor exhaling volume.

I have asthma and I live in Houston. Not a good combo. When I'm feeling "occluded" I will sometimes take a single 200 mg ibuprofen to reduce inflammation. I also try increasing the amount of water you're drinking. There was a study a few years ago that linked mild dehydration with breathing difficulties in asthmatics. Think about it, if your tissues are dry it impedes a lot.

one more question...does ASTHMA get worse when you have a sinus infection?
Most definitely.
How has the weather been where you are? Is it hot and muggy? Bitter cold? Sometimes both will give a person trouble breathing.

several things;
You need pro biotics with anti biotics
You need to look into doing a fast (just eat fresh fruits and vegetables)
AEROBICS.......swimming is the best
You are not (breathing). You are probably taking choppy breaths, which is believe it or not,an indicator of stress.
Hope you feel better soon!

yawn a lot and sigh a lot? Had a stress test lately? You could be describing cardiac issues too.

Caffeine actually opens up the airways to a small degree.

Try tea, instead.
Contains some natural goodies that help open up the bronchial tubes.
Also, try avoiding corn anything.
Let corn pass my daughter's lips, and she's in the ER getting a breathing treatment MEGA style.
But, mostly, BOO needs to SEE A DOC.-- an asthma specialist. In his/her office, not in the ER. The doc can get him tested for allergy reactions.
If you don't know the specific cause, hit and miss trying to fix the problem only makes the problem worse.

High fructose corn syrup. Man, that crap is hurting a lot of folk. A new study says that unlike sugar it seems to go straight to your waist and it creates insulin resistance.

hi guys- I took 2 inhalations of my inhaler an hour ago and 2 sudafed sinus plus pills like I do when I have a sinus infection. My heart is racing and I cannot get a breath. I work tonight and all weekend too. Please pray for me. I am on Effexor XR for anxiety for years with no problems. I am worried and wondering why this is happening. All my tests were considered normal.
This is the 4th straight day of this:( My heart rate is 90 per minute at rest.
Please pray for me...
Thanks so much, Kevin.
