'Blazing guns' wound two in Franklin County shoot-out

Zebulon, N.C. — Gunmen dressed as police officers burst into a house in the Pilot community in southern Franklin County, sparking a shoot-out that injured two people late Wednesday, authorities said.

[...]

A surveillance camera over the front door, though, had already alerted those inside the house that gunmen were outside.

"The patrons on the inside can actually see what's going on on the outside, so they knew they were getting robbed," Strickland said. "Once the door flew open, one of the robbers screamed, 'This is a robbery.' One of the patrons said, 'No, it's not,' and they started exchanging gunfire."

One of the robbers was shot in the shoulder during the shoot-out, and the surveillance video shows the gunmen quickly running out of the house soon after they entered it.

Well you know if you KNOW you're going to get robbed in advance it's a good idea not to let the people rob you.

Alive...where they probably would have been murdered.:D

Since the culprit is still alive, the victims more than likely will be sued for something.

I know right? Isn't it sad that you defend yourself without killing your liable to get sued? Lawyers annoy me.

Sounds like a drug house equipped with surveillance equipment and the people doing the robbery knew there would be cash inside.

I could be wrong, but Ive seen such a case before here where I work, almost identical.

Not quite drugs, but you're right to wonder about the cameras. It was the location of a poker home game.

My thinking on this is that that kind of line - "No it's not." - may work in the movies, but that's a very high risk maneuver to ambush the robbers over a few thousand dollars.

One penny, one dollar or 250 million dollars......the robber needs to die in the robbery, or after the robbery. My tolerance level for crime is at a minus ten level for non-violent crime and **** it, kill them all and let god sort them out for violent crimes.
