Nothing causes global warming or climate change. It's a natural, cyclical phenomena and nothing can be done about it. Mankind's contribution to climate change is negligible -- the effect is not even measurable.

But fat people do use more of the earth's resources. They consume more of the earth's food; it takes more fuel to transport their corpulent and heavy bodies; and they take up more space.

They are more sickly and put an added strain on medical resources.

Fortunately, they fit well in such jobs as county sheriffs and prison guards.

Nevertheless, America's millions of morbidly obese people should not be penalized or discriminated against because they are fat. As a matter of fact, America should be proud to show them off to the rest of the world as a symbol of the nation's prosperity. Ask any resident of a Third World country why they want to reside in America, and the answer is always the same "I want to live in a country where everyone is fat."

Americans should be glad they can afford to be fat.
