If there's a war between them, how is it decided who wins? Ratings, or who helps Obama get elected?

I saw the segment. Immelt is turning to another leftie loon that doesn't get it. Getting the shareholders ticked off at you. Brilliant.
Given MSNBS's ratings ... or lack thereof ... not much of a battle I'd say.

Well, if it's the former, isn't O'Reilly beating him by 3 to 1 or something?

If what I'm hearing about the FNC ratings is true, they're winning like crazy.
But msnbc succeeded in helping Obama win.

Now would'nt you think that after a good thumping they'd be pretty clear about which side of the platform to stand on?
I am not all that convinced that they really get it though ... we'll see.

What platform would you suggest? And also, it seems to me that the GOP lacks a central figure to carry the message (al la Newt back in the 90's). So who do you think would be good at that?

Hope you don't mind my responding as your question was not intended for me ...
... anyway I really liked Newt in the 90's, but I sure hope they don't tap that well again ... we will surely loose again if they go there ... we need new & fresh faces to stir things up.

True, but if Fox cotinues on its "winning streak" and MSNBC continues losing, there might not be an MSNBC 3 years from now. It would, at least, be highly marginalized. :boohoo: :D

Not sure if this is the right thread or not as I am a NOOB. Keith Olberman said tonight. He would pay $1000 per second to the families of our troops if Sean would in fact submit to being waterboarded as he said on his show. Looks like a challenge to me.

No amount of waterboarding will ever force Sean Hannity to deny that Obama is a socialist.

Is that a loaded question....lol
Ron Paul....even if you don't agree with him on everything
He's Honest...that's why He has supporters from all camps
imo...it boils down to being honest and a track record you can verify
no flip flop..
and to my recollection Ron has only flipped on the death penalty

MSNBC/NBC can't take all the credit for Hussein getting elected. Theres stilll CBS, ABC, CNN, and basically every newspaper in the country.

I would guess and probably wager that the producers know it's a ratings contest. It's why guys with giant egos anchor these entertainment slots, as Jerry notes.

Msnbc(left) and fnc(right) are the same. Watch both and you'll get real fair and balance.THEN you decide. Far as ratings pffft. The O'reilly factor has the highest ratings but most of it is entertainment. Msnbc is just boring with an exception of two. Most liberals get their news source from online. Not only that, libs watch fox just to see what outrages thing Glenn, Sean, Bill might say.

I'm not sure if it's any kind of rivalry, really. It is more so the case that FNC kicks the crap out of MSNBC routinely in the ratings and MSNBC responds with some of the most hateful, vile commentary programming ever seen.

if we don;t enbgage this battle as zionistic conservatives we will not stand a chance. because liberal conservatism, moderate conservatism is what got us into losing the helm of this nations authority to the point all of its might is pointed directly at us by the radical conservatives that are just as much lieing cowards as the coward muslim army terrorizing the world.

Yeah, Olbermann is such a professional, challenging a competitor in his field to what he says is 'torture' for his own personal entertainment.
He's the sort of guy that if he lived in my neighborhood, I'd consider moving.
There is pompous and then there is downright nasty. Olbermann definitely fits deep into the latter category. Don't care what side of the aisle you hail from, he's just a repugnant human being.

When it comes to financial and ratings success, Fox is winning by a landslide. They're sorta like the United States in 1944 against the Japanese; not total victory yet, but it's pretty much a given.
But I do believe MSNBC has higher ups in the Democratic party who assist it.

You can add another channel to the list.
If I remember correctly, GE purchased "The Weather Channel" not too long ago.
Just watch "Abrams & Bettis" if you want to witness the Green propaganda.

Isn't it amazing how just listening to someone talk you can tell if they are a liberal or not? I knew the weather channel was but now I understand why. GE, the anti-American thief and best buddies with Obama.
TRU tv is for the most part as well. Does GE own them?

The irony is, it seems that way because EVERY OTHER MEDIA OUTLET EXCEPT FOR FOXNEWS is sooo FAR LEFT.
Thank god for us conservatives we still have a media outlet that gives us a point of view other then the Obama networks like MSNBC ( bought and paid for with TARP MONEY ) CNN, ABC and CBS.
