Truly trivial: lid up or lid down?

My wife, I'm sure like many, used to complain constantly about the toilet seat being left up. After nearly 17 years of marrige, I decided it was a small thing to both raise the seat, and then to put it back when I was done. However, when I use a public dual sex restroom, I am curious as to whether women, who use a restroom directly after a man, prefer to find the lid up, knowing he was courteous enough to raise it, or down, and what they do/think if it is wet.

It bothers me when I follow a man, and find the seat is wet, and knowing a woman is behind me in line, may think I am the guy who not only can't aim, but is rude as well.

I put this question to women, but also to the guys. What do you do?

I ask myself the same question, but I have cleaned up after people if I know a woman is behind me!

So do women not sit all the way down??

Hell, why even pee inside the house? My man goes outside to pee....says there is something liberating about peeing outside. :rolleyes:
