only one syllable...
and yet
six different consonant sounds.
Can you think of any word that even comes close?

I thought it was interesting too, bill ... and I actually counted out the letters and the sounds.
I was gonna make a comment about a word I find interesting, but my word is not similar to "strength" ... the word I've always loved is facetious. having all five vowels, only once each, and in order.
another word I love is "juxtapose" but only b/c it's fun to say. :))

That's pretty cool about "facecious", Mel... :)
Regarding "strength" once again...
another other amazing thing about it is that,
even though it's made up of all those different consonant sounds,
and only one vowel,
it rolls off the tongue when you say it...

But nobody with any class would use that word. By doing so they'd be putting Dreamy in the past tense and that's simply unacceptable. :snooty:

Secretary is the longest word in the English language that can be typed with one hand using conventional typing technique and on a standard QWERTY keyboard.

But Rayman you're here:D I like "thinking" threads and game threads. Too many chat threads get boring in my opinion.
Back to the always stimulating Lodge for you darling. :))
