Hmm, is Castro intimating that Obama stretched the truth a little?

"HAVANA — Fidel Castro said Tuesday that President Barack Obama "misinterpreted" his brother Raul's sentiments toward the United States and bristled at any suggestion Cuba should free political prisoners or reduce official fees on money sent to the island from the U.S."
"The former president appeared to be throwing a dose of cold water on growing expectations for improved bilateral relations — suggesting Obama had no right to dare suggest that Cuba make even small concessions. He also seemed to suggest too much was being made of Raul's comments about discussing "everything" with U.S. authorities."

I shudder to think how all those Pro-Cuba Liberal posters yesterday are going to respond to this... And here they thought their great leader made a new friend.:)):)):))

Yeah, Castro's the kind of guy that steps on things that crawl.

The comments sounded pretty clear to me that Mr. Castro was willing to discuss "everything." Fidel seems to flip-flop with every essay he writes about the U.S. Didn't he just "look straight in the eye" of U.S. congress members and asked them what can he do to help Obama with Cuba.

Castro blasted the new U.S. president for showing signs of superficiality.

Yep, willing to discuss everything. Not willing to give over to a political neophyte such as Obama. These guys were playing politics since before Little Red was born. They have played with the masters and probably are willing to teach him the game if he is willing to do as they say. This young man does not know who he is playing with when he travels the world in search of glory.

No, I believe once Fidel is dead and gone, you will see progress, minimal, but still.

Nope. His brother will be worse. And somehow, it will still be our fault.

Isn't it amazing that, wherever he goes, the initial reports (from his own people) are so glowing ...
And then the other side tells us what they REALLY think about their meeting! LOL
Have you seen the Mar 28th issue of The Economist with a cover that says 'Learning the Hard Way'
They tagged him as the Obamateur - a fit title.

This narcissist, Obama, believes that he's so charismatic, so smart, and so loved, that everyone who feasts their eyes upon him, basks upon the sound of his dulcid tones will know that all is well with the world because Barack Hussein Obama has arrived.
All problems that existed prior to his entry on the scene will fade away, and his mere presence will spark peace and harmony upon all who focus upon him..
