As a veteran who served during the Gulf War, I did so on behalf of America -- not just one political party.
As a conservative who supported the Tea Parties protest against big government, I supported that protest on the behalf of what I feel is the greater good for all Americans -- not just conservatives.
Anyone who is willing to typecast most war veterans as "extemist" or a main stream conservatives as "racist" or "redneck" have chosen to hate half of your fellow countrymen and countrywomen....If you even "sort of" believe these things about your fellow citizens, it is time for you to just call yourself what you really are ---anti-American.

And I never think of conservatives as racist rednecks but in this forum, liberals are generally portrayed as lazy, elitist, welfare cases who see Obama as the Messiah who will give them fat stimulus checks.
Conservatives are not a threat to your country, nor are Liberals. Both groups are necessary to the political process.
PS.: Thank you for your service to your country. You safeguarded my freedom as well and your courage is always admired.

No one is accusing you of any of those things.
I do find it ironic that after the past few weeks here, LIBERALS are being accused of being "anti-American", when the reverse has so convincingly been shown by the far right among us.
But I doubt that anyone in America considers you an "extremist". As far as "redneck", I don't know you well enough to judge, but you don't seem that way either.

It's the loony left that is doing the name-calling. Jeanane Garofolo on MSNBC stated that everyone that went to the rallies was there "because they hated a black man in the White House." People couldn't just disagree with his policies, could they? (OK, should I not call them the loony left, lest I be accused of name-calling?)
It was a CNN reporter that stated the rallies were anti-governemt.
And it's Obama's Homeland Security that is calling vets a terrorist threat.

Doug,
I am not villianizing mainstream liberals or Democrats...I get along quite well with folks who are willing to engage in civil debate in a give & take manner.
I only have issue with the far-left that always operates from a position of anger...though, as far as Democratic politicians are concerned, I will include Pelosi into the angry far-left grouping.
