In real life or cyberspace, where have you found the most negativity.
In my five years of lurking and posting on poltiical message boards on both ends of the spectrum, I have to say that the political bums are not the most negative.
The most negative people I have encountered are those on the World of Warcraft forums.

There is always somebody bitching about something. Whether it's queue times, lag, class nerfs, this is overpowered, that is underpowered, content catered toward the hardcore player, content catered toward the casusal player, I'm quitting, other MMORPG is better, Everquest never had these problems or the patch sucks because the elite guilds have already cleared the new stuff the community there never fails to get a 4.00 in complete pettiness.
Much more annoying than liberals bitching about Bush or conservatives complaining about Obama.
Can anyone match such negativity in their experiences?

The things in cyberspace don't bother me but having been in some form of sales and marketing my entire adult civilian life, naysayers who don't see a glass full but see dark circles in everything irritate me to end. My Mom's side of the family is like that, I love em but ten minutes around some of them take me almost to tears they are so negative and depressing, lol. My Dad's side is just the opposite though, I like to think I am more like that.

The most negative person I know personally is my mother.
It pains me to admit that but there it is.
She sadly has been cut off from the real world for too man years, she believes everything she reads on the front page above the fold in the local paper, and she only hears the most negative of life's stories on the local news stations.
It is heart breaking and no matter what I have tried it does no good.

Aside from the WoW forums, I used to work with a guy who was not content until everyone around him was completely miserable. You would come to work in the best mood, and he would **** and moan about every little thing going on around him until you were wishing you had never even came in that day.

Probably the women on the sugar glider forums. They can literally ruin your life if you make them mad. They will dig and dig until they come up with some good dirt and then ostracize you from the community. They make you guys seem sweet. ;) (Kidding!)

911 Dispatchers are pretty negative. Every 911 dispatch center I walk into is kept dark and gloomy, people are always calling in with problems and yelling and hollering at them, and the turnover rate is through the roof. Turnover rates range anywhere from 15% to 40% annually at 911 call centers which creates unfilled positions and because it takes weeks of training new hires before they're ready for prime time, those unfilled positions create forced overtime.
911 dispatchers average about 32 hours of forced overtime at a high stress job working in the dark getting yelled at by strangers on the phone so they can get to be a bit negative.
I couldn't do their job. I can operate the equipment, heck I can program the equipment, install it and repair it when it breaks too, but I couldn't handle the calls. I'd want to come home and kick the dog every day.

Very very true.
I would put policemen, firemen and medical emergency responders into this category.
These are the people who shold be making the big bucks in our society, not legal robber bank CEOs, actors or idiot jocks on TV.
Just reminds you of how screwed up we have let this country get in some ways.

The most negative people I encounter are those where I work. They talk trash all day and think I'm a trash can with a hairy lid. I try to ignore them.

My own personal experience is the most negative type of people to deal with are those who are "non-religious". They also seem to be imo the most confrontational. Im talking about real life experience Ive had not online.

Depression? They've got some fairly effective drugs for that. Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors. Amazing science behind them things.

Sounds like a vicious cycle. Bright white light as close to natural sunlight as possible is an effective mood enhancer.
