I'm in Southside East Westminster, North Denver...
We got about as much as we did in Arvada at my Work, which is Closer to the Hills...
Maybe 8", but it was Melting Fast as it came down...
We probably would've gotten 3' if it wasn't so Warm...

Hey Mal! I have a cousin and his family who live in Westminster. Your not Mike are you? :shifty: Wouldn't that be funny.
I have been to Westminster a couple of times. I lived in Littleton for a year or so. Those people thought I was crazy. Besides the "hick" accent, that we apparently have here in Central Illinois, I would walk around after 18" of snow without a coat. Everyone kept telling me I would get sick, but never did. If I had a dollar for every time I heard "Aren't you cold?", I would be a very rich woman. I would just respond with, "Cold? If you think this is cold, you should be in Chicago in January, then you will know what real cold is." With the dryness out there, cold just isn't as chilling to the bone as it is back here. Funny thing, every time I flew into Stapleton (ya, that will tell you how long ago it was), I flew into a blizzard. It could be sunny and warm when I left, but so help me I would fly into a white out coming back. As a matter of fact, one time I was flying in, we were in a complete white out, couldn't see a damn thing, until the plane started landing. Picture it, landing gear down, you can finally see the runway, and BAM! all of a sudden you are climbing at a 90 degree angle and fast. What happened? A Continental flight crashed on takeoff JUST AS WE WERE LANDING. Once again, all you could see was white. Then the pilot came on the speaker and welcomed us to Colorado Springs airport. WTH? It wasn't until we got off the plane did we find out about the crash. It was a bit scary for my family for about 30 minutes. My uncle was a cameral man for the local news station and got the call to get out to the airport to cover the crash. He didn't get any details, except that it was a Continental flight. Well guess who I was flying with that day? Yep, Continental. He wasn't told if the plane was coming or going, so for a little while all that my family knew was that I was coming in on that airline at the same time that the crash occured. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt that day.
Enjoy your April snow. Yesterday it was sunny and 75 here. Today it will be cloudy and 70 or so. We are expecting a lot of rain in the next couple of days. I have to change the intake thingy on our pool so we can start collecting the "free" rainwater. Hubby took the cover off a couple of weeks ago. Can't wait for the kids to be swimming again.

Yep. What she said.
Bad enough we had flurries/showers on April 7--last day of Repchick's visit.
We *don't* get snow in April in GA. Just. About. Ever.
Must be some of Al Gore's Global Warming. ;)
Enjoy your 2 feet of it. Send pics. Watch your back. And for God's sake don't drynk and shovel. They don't mix. ;)
Love,
Jeny

I got maybe 9 inches. I am south of where Mal is (Englewood, just east of Bow Mar). There is so much moisture in this I'm glad it is melting down. It would be a real backache if much of it had to be shovelled. It is supposed to be close to 50 tomorrow, and possibly 80 by Thursday.
The plains east of Denver are still getting hammered. That is a God send for the ranchers and farmers. This winter has been so dry!!
