Ok, everyone can relax now. The following article tells us that Obama is going to remove dread of our annual tax deadline through a simpler tax code. I'll be able to sleep a lot better at night now.

Now there is something to be scared about...a flaming liberal marxist is going to "simplify" the tax code to make it "fair".

I'm think it will be....how much do you make? Send the IRS 75% unless you are a poor little victim of society and make less than 50000 a year.

When a liberal says he is going to simplify the tax code he usually means he is going to eliminate deductions.

And then there is the really simple version:

1) How much did you make? __________
2) Send it in.
3) Sign here ______________

Yeah I'll bet....it will so simple that all you have to do..is just turn over your pay check and the Government will give you back enough for what they decide to by your needs.

Eliminate deductions and stick it to any american who is "too rich".

I was just waiting for him to say something like this today. I'm sure he thinks it negates what the Tea Parties have to say.

We all know he'd never lie either, right?

This is good -

"We need to simplify a monstrous tax code that is far too complicated for most Americans to understand, but just complicated enough for the insiders who know how to game the system," Obama said.

Seeing as how the guy in charge didn't understand it himself.

....just like every president in my lifetime has promised.

Yet, the tax code just keeps on a-bloating.

I can simplify the tax code rather easily. It is called abolishing the IRS and allowing people to keep their own money instead of effectively charging people to work.

The government charges us to live on land we allegedly own, property taxes.
The government charges us to make purchases and in many cases even eat, sales taxes.
The government charges us to work, income and payroll taxes.

Then of course the government can come around and take land that we allegedly own if we don't want to pay these taxes or they just condemn it so some big business can come in that'll pay more in property taxes.

I find it laughable when people call U.S. a capitalist nation. We aren't, we own nothing. Everything is owned by the government, which by the way is not run by the people. You may as well call us a communist nation.

Nor do most of his appointees, it appears.....

No, Geithner uderstood it. He is part of the "insiders who know how to game the system" group.

No kidding - not to mention all the other numerous appointees that had tax problems.

I was reading an article about people having trouble paying taxes and the consequences of not paying taxes. All I could think of was what if these people said, ah... I forgot. It wouldn't have made a bit of difference.

Wow, he must be a supporter of the FAIR TAX!

No IRS

No deductions.

No tax returns, W2's W-4's, 1099s.

No Turbo Tax

PS

That would make everyday, TAX DAY! that should make liberals smile, 265 April 15s!

PPS, if you are here illegally, you probably won't get the prebate check!!!!!!!

He is part of the "insiders who know how to game the system" group.Yeah, ya know I should have paid more attention to the second sentence. :) Frankly, I laugh out loud ever time I think of him and that Trubo Tax statement. Guys in his bracket really do their taxes that way? Well, only when they might need something to blame the problems on.

It wouldn't have made a bit of difference. And that seems to be part of the problem agents are encountering.......this stuff is getting thrown at them by the public.......cool.
