I'm confused about the Tea Party part of your Title. It appears the story is about Illegal immigration.
And what really bothers me is what were the police officers doing? As soon as those kids started to unfurl that banner in front of the speaker their asses should have been planted.

Sorry, I was looking to contrast the peaceful demeanor of conservatives when they protest a policy or idea vs. the wacko tolerant skinny punk ass emo leftist (typical lib nutjobs in the title)

Does anyone think that the release of the DHS report was meant to intimidate the TEA participants? It's a curious coincidence for sure.

I agree Dim. Peaceful being the key word. For whatever reason college age kids don't get PEACEFUL. I guess with age comes wisdom:D

Fox News commentators have drawn that comparison.
The timing is rather Saul Alinsky, isn't it?

I don't think so. Tea Party participants are NOT extreme in their thinking. They are protesting excessive taxation, and are well within their right.

I hope the TEA parties are just the beginning and those who favor smaller government are finally ready to fight the "liberal" authoritarian nutjobs.

They are protesting excessive taxation, and are well within their right.Consider, however, that patriotism is now considered the payment of taxes. thus, a protest against taxes is a protest against patriotism to this administration

Good, I'm not the only one. Sometimes I'm a little hesitant to don the "tin foil" ;)
The Alinsky angle did cross my mind too.

You and I know it's not extremism, but according to the report this govt doesn't get it.

I never thought I would see the day in this country when folks are painted as troublemakers for protesting high taxes... while people who take it and pay up like good little sheeple are said to be patriotic.
Very sad times... hell its un-American.

This quote from the DHS report shows the simple-minded view that this administration has towards the military, I guess this passes for "supporting the troops" that they have been bleating for the past seven years:
"(U//FOUO) Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to rightwing extremists. DHS/I&A is concerned that rightwing
extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to
boost their violent capabilities."
I have recently retired after 22 years in the military and I am absolutely sick of the "veterans are victims" mentality that we see coming from the left. It seems like they get their image of veterans from Hollywood's portrayal (see "24").

I hope my statement isn't too much of a generalization but here goes:
I'm sure most of the people attending the TEA Parties have a love of god, family, and country. That is enough for the libs to label them as Right Wing Extremists.

You're wrong.. NOW the majority of people who are considered to be patriotic are the people NOT paying their fair share of taxes.

The quote below from the the DHS report shows how (at least some people in) this administration view the military. This is what they have meant by bleating "support the troops" for the past seven years. It seems their view of military veterans is built on Hollywood's portrayal as veterans as victims of the evil government's policies (see any recent episode of "24").
