Since a lot of you guys know about Army recruiting, I had a few questions for you before I shoot an email to my father in law to ask him the same thing (in Iraq-takes weeks to respond).

1. What can you tell me about the Married Soldiers Program? Like my husband is enlisted and I want to enlist.

2. Are any of you familiar with what it takes to be part of Army CID? I know you have to be an MP first, but beyond that I don't know.

3. I know you have to be stationed within 50 miles of each other, but with him as Field Artillery (he won't switch from a FA job and going to reclass from 13D-Tactical Data Specialist to 13F- Fire Support Specialist) and me going as MP, would it be easy to get a good duty station?

4. All of the gate guards and car driving cops are now Rent-a-cops on Fort Sill, so what would I expect to do as an MP?

One more thing. I know for sure I won't be able to find a temple anywhere near me, but the Army really doesn't discriminate against any religions, right? I am a Hindu. I wrote it on my contact sheet and the recruiter I talked to didn't even know what a Hindu was. He asked if I was some sort of Muslim or something.

I know you have to be stationed within 50 miles of each other My daughter was stationed at Ft. Lewis and her husband was *somewhere* in Texas (can't recall the name). This was back in the 90's. I'm glad to see that's changed.

Wow, what an un-educated recruiter. How could he not know what Hindu is and the difference between Hindu and Muslim. I'm shocked.

The US Military does not discriminate against anyone based on religion... it is the law. Here is an article about 'chaplins' in the USA Military... there are some that are Hindu...

There are people from just about every faith that exists in the US Military.
