Think about American history and this day in it when you answer this question:

You shoot (and assassinate) the President of the United States, and jump out. What do you say after killing the President?

Think about this day in history when you answer the question. It's a piece of American history, and it is said this phrase dates back to Roman times. You even see it in a state motto.

May I suggest you remove the extemely inappropriate, off putting hypothetical from the equation and simply ask for the actual historical facts.

John Wilkes Booth, after assassinating Abraham Lincoln in Ford's Theater in Washington D.C. this day in 1865, uttered the phrase "Sic semper tyrannis."

Yes it is! Booth indeed uttered what is translated as Thus Always to Tyrants when he said, "Sic semper tyrannis! The South is Avenged!"
