My cat died thursday night, and I am trying to put together a few pictures as a memorial.

I have a video of him which I recently shot and it has one moment when he looks right at me. It is the best full image of him I can find, and I would like to use it as a picture.

I have experimented with Jing project (which captures images form the desktop) but for some reason the images I capture save to my mypics folder as though they've been shifted to the right. That is, the image that is saved is the left portion of the capture with black space filling the left portion of the image.

Does anyone have a suggestion for capturing this image for use as a picture?

Maybe before you take the "capture" move the video to the left in order to compensate. That's all I have for a suggestion.

Most software that's capable of screen capture has trouble doing it when a video overlay is involved. See if there is a way that you can disable it for through the video playback software.
