I know that, in the grand scheme of things,
hair coloration is a rather superficial trait…
but most people have a definite preference.
So… how ‘bout you?

Myself, I'm always drawn to brunettes...
but redheads and strawberry blondes (which I consider redheads) make me crazy!

I don't have a preference. Physical attraction is certainly part of the equation. I have been attracted to ladies of varying hair colors and physical attributes over the years. Physical attraction can be the first spark. And many times, it often is for us. But for me, it is the color and beauty of the lady's heart, mind, and soul that ultimately draws me closer to her.

very well put, BGG....
for me, I've always been partial to swarthy men, but when love comes in, it truly is color blind.
of course this does say "which are you most attracted to", and I do have to admit I'll notice the darker men first. doesn't mean I haven't found some blondes that I thought were attractive, but at first glance ... it's the swarthy man I notice.

I did date one blond I think it was the fact that he was so blond that turned me away.
Jet black hair always caught my eye first, dark skin and eyes just make me melt.
Red heads? No thank you its just not there for me.

To be honest I don't think it's the baldness - it's that in my experience (with the exception of my grandfather who had a glorious head of soft, white as snow hair) the men I've been able to trust were bald (or as in the case of Aubrey, balding at the age of 24 - he was kinda like that 28 yrs later when he passed away too).

oh, and another thing this thread reminds me of ...
when I first met my MIL, one of the very first things she said to me was, "hmmm. a blonde. he usually prefers brunettes."
now how do you respond to that?
especially when it's the mother of a boy you're dating and you've literally just met her????

No matter how bald a guy may be,
he still has hair somewhere :D
so he'd still be able to be considered as one of the three basic hair types.

I have married two of them. I never really cared about hair color, it just happened that way.

Actually, as I had originally intended it, the thread is not specifically about the ladies...
but that's okay... I'm used to having my intentions misconstrued...
I am, after all, the goofy bastard who put up the thread "Who Would You Go Gay For" (which has since been deleted...).

I well know of that which y’all speak…
I’m naturally attracted to brunettes…
I’m hot for redheads…
and yet I married a blonde.
BTW, mel, even though I’m of Western European descent, I’m quite swarthy…
especially after I’ve spent time in the sun.
On that subject, I recall an episode many years ago,
when I got arrested in New Orleans
toward the end of a summer during which I’d spent all my working days outside…
Honest to God, when the booking officer looked at me,
he did a double take
and asked “black or white?”
I’ve also been mistaken for a Middle Easterner…
which doesn’t play well at the airports.

I love long dark brown hair... almost black... with a nice wave in it.
But I also really like a dark red head - auburn I guess its called - as opposed to that pale carrot top color... although on the right woman that is nice too.
And when it comes down to it I love blond hair and really dark blue eyes... like that blond on Greys Anatomy or Monica Potter.
I like grey hair too... particularly that shiny silver... but even if it is just salt and pepper. It portrays maturity and wisdom which I find really attractive.
Heck, who cares about the hair... I love 'em all. :D

I have strawberry blone hair. My hubby has auburn hair. My oldest daughter (from previous) has dishwater blonde hair with red highlights. My youngest three all have red hair, but different types. My 5 yo son had dark red hair, but thick and straight like mine. My 3 yo daughter has strawberry blonde hair that is baby fine, thin and wavy. It was curly, until it got longer. She is the one that cut a chunk of her bangs to the scalp. My youngest daughter has auburn hair and it is thick and curly. My oldest has blue eyes and all the younger ones have their dad's brown eyes with each having different specks of color in and a color ring around them. 5 yo had yellow specks with a dark brown circle around the iris. 3 yo has a green tint with a green circle around them and the baby had a blue tint with a blue cirlce around the iris.
Having strawberry-blonde hair, I have heard it all. I am ditsy because of the blonde, a smart because of the red. I must have a temper because of the red, but blondes are so fun-loving. People don't know what box to put me in.
Hair color has never been an issue to what I am attracted to. I dated guys with all different shades. It seems that most of the guys I dated back in the day were named David though. How I ended up with a Jerry is beyond me.

I like dark brown/black hair and blue eyes. Though, I like me some graying men too (Mark Harmon..mmmm) and sometimes bald guys (Jason Hawes from Ghost Hunters).
I married a guy with red-brown hair and green eyes. My daughter does have blue eyes and brown hair, though.

Brunettes. No ifs ands or buts. Salt and pepper grey and bald are both tied for second.
Blondes and redheads are rarely natural after a certain age so... um no thanks. lol
My hair color is natural. Sometimes highlights but never colored. Good hair genes. Mom and sisters same deal.

For a time, earlier in life, I was attracted to blondes but they consistently broke my heart. Brunettes have healed it.
