View Full Version : Lady, when you're with me I'm smiling

Give me, whoa-oh, all your love
Your hands build me up when I'm sinking
Just touch me and my troubles all fade
Lady, from the moment I saw you.
Standing all alone.
You gave all the love that I needed.
So shy like a child who had grown.
You're my lady of the morning
Love shines in your eyes
Sparkling, clear and lovely
You're my lady
Lady, turn me on when I'm lonely
Show me, whoa-oh, all your charms
Evenings, when you lay down beside me
Take me gently into your arms
Just wanted to share

Nah, love is too restrictive a word.
Happier though.
Karma is finally paying me back.
It's been a good month.

It's not what you got, it's what you give.
It ain't the life you choose
It's the life you live
It's what you give.

Just been a great week, folks.
Stuff is FINALLY coming together.
A crapload of effort is coming to fruition.
Just having a great week.
Finally in a truck at Frito. Got myself a ton of overtime this week, enough to buy some new furniture with cash and stuff.
*sighs*
I'm just happier, folks.

The band I was in during college used to cover that song. I was the lead singer, and if I do say so, the song drove the women a bit wild. ;)

Dude, it's a great tune.
One of my favorite love songs of all time.
I don't get mushy too often, but that song always makes me mushy.
And you stud, Jim!

Ahh......to each their own. The scrawy leg thing may be attractive to some don't get me wrong.
It is my personal opinion that the shirtless, scrawny legged spandex clad performer is an image better left in the past. We survived it once, there is no need for history to repeat itself in this area.

Any man who posts Styxx would fall in one of those two categories. ;)

Mortis,
I know you are into your metal music and all, but given the joy you saw fit to share with your Hannity friends, I think this song is appropriate. The words are truly soul stirring as is the live performance of the song "falling slowly."
There is no greater joy in life, than swimming inside the heart and soul of another. We travel to the very height and depth of our being. And within that swim of life, we allow the waves of vulnerability, friendship, and love to slowly wash over us like a tender embrace.

Edited to add: My favorite line in that song is "sing your melody and I will sing along." In my opinion, that is what we all search and long for. We long to sing in soulful harmony with another person, drinking up every word and moment shared.
I am happy for you Mortis. I wish you the very best. May you both continue to sing.

hey :redface:girl
what is love that's true
can it ever happen to you
do you ever wonder who
it is you never knew
and even if you did
would it remain hid
and never to be told
until you've grown old
and then what have you lost
was it worth the cost
of haveing something missed
the moment that we kissed
me
