View Full Version : Announcements of Friendship Bids

bayoubill

It occurred to me that there should be a place

where I can announce when I'm sending out a friendship bid

to another forumite.

So I made this thread for that purpose.

All y'all can use it for that, too.

can we ever appreciate our friends enough
sometimes you wonder are friends fleeting
remember when days are rough
recall when times were tough
who would you be meeting
who would you be greeting
who would see you through
who would take a stand
lend a helping hand
make you feel just grand
make you feel brand new
tell you just what to do
tell you just what's true
guess its me and you

There are some I dont have on my friends list that I do like but I'm not pushy so I wait for them to ask me instead of sending a request myself.

BECAUSE I HATE REJECTION!

I mean what if I sent a request and they said NO they didn't like me after all????

Sorry, soup, dear heart...

I did relialize, after having put up eight friendship bids,

that it did start to look like a laundry list,

so I stopped at eight.

Believe me...

when I looked at my list of friends

no one coulda been more surprised than me

to find that you weren't already on the list...

In your case, I was just trying to make amends for a shortfall.

You shoulda been on the list since long ago, sweetheart.

BTW, do you still require nudie pix?

Unfortunately, I have none to share...

but, if you happen to have any such pix of Robert Downey, Jr.,

those could probably stand in for me...

if you did an age progression... (lol...)

Believe me, I understand completely, Jeb...

I was skeptical of the whole thing when the Mods first put it up,

thinking it was just another lamo ******** idea...

sorta like the arbitrary and poorly-named classifications for post count totals

and the four political social groups.

But then one of my dearest Hansterland buddies convinced me that it was harmless fun

and that it was a nice way to acknowledge the connections you've made with people you like in Hansterland.

Most everybody on my list is someone that I actually like,

for one reason or another.

But I gotta admit...

there's a coupla folks on my list that, if I had it to do over again,

I'd pass.

But until those certain folks give me a really really good reason to delete them,

they will remain on my list.

There are some I dont have on my friends list that I do like but I'm not pushy so I wait for them to ask me instead of sending a request myself.

Thank you Rosie. He was the best dog. I know people always say that about their dogs but the personality of Shelties is amazing. I have never seen a dog as loyal and fierceless and who really would have fought to the death to protect his sheep(us)if need be.

His only draw back. That glorious fur! Ugh. Messy messy and lots of grooming but for his companionship it was worth it. I miss him so much!

I have always looked at things differently than most people, I guess it comes from 10 years of school. I have an extremely weird sense of humor that most people don't get. I also tend to over analyze EVERYTHING to the nth degree.

When I find a friend, that understands me...well...it's a blessing.

When I find a friend, that understands me...well...it's a blessing.

Friends are a valuable thing...

I understand "different" and I understand "weird" ... I was wondering why you prefer one over the other.

my son is a bit like you have described ... he's quite the charmer, but he has a very different sense of humor; a very dry wit ... most people don't "get" his humor. he loves it when someone does.

Your son is a great man ;)

I think different is more palatable than weird.
