And no matter how they spin it, I'm still agianst it.
Why? Because they always claim it will go for education. They did on the lottery. Why do we need more schemes to go for education if the first scheme (the lottery) worked so well?
They claim it will help reduce our tax burden.
They claim it will help create jobs.
Same crap they said about the Ohio Lottery, the Ohio Convention Center, and the City Center Mall.
None of the promises ever came through.
I don't buy for a minute it will result in MY paying less taxes (in Ohio, under the Democrats? Who do they think they are fooling?).
I don't buy the money will go for education. We get the same crap about the Ohio Lottery, and yet our schools are still whining about no money and harranging us for higher levies.
And I don't buy it will create jobs. They said the same stupid thing about the Covention Center, and it's going South, and created damn little in jobs.
As for gambling. Oh I believe businesses will go up around gambling.
Sure I do! Big Joe Pimp and his Stable of Ladies, will go up around the casino! As if we don't have enough of that in Ohio already!
I'm sorry Ohio leadership, if any of you are reading this. I'm 47 years old and have lived in Ohio since I was 14. I've heard all the promises, that Ohio politicians have made before, with big ideas to bring revenue into Ohio.
THEY ALWAYS FAIL!
And you know why? Because all of you are Democrats or RINOS that would shrivel up like vampires at the sign of the Cross, before you would consider the real way to bring businesses and jobs to Ohio.
CUT THE ****ING TAXES YOU IDIOTS!
Instead of trying to find new ways to con money out of people, why don't you help people MAKE MONEY FOR ONCE.
CUT THE TAXES! That will attract businesses, who will employ people and those people pay TAXES.
It's called broadening the tax base and it works. Ronald Reagan proved it. So did George Bush.
Now, all liberals who also shrivel up at the idea that cutting taxes works may now start shrieking.
(Yes this belongs in education, because the main reason the Gov is arguing for the casinos, is it will supposedly help education, which I don't buy for one damn minute)
