My husband was recently a victim of identity theft and since then, we've been considering using them to protect the whole family.

Have any of you used them? Are they a pretty good company to work with? Easy to deal with customer service, etc??

I use them, they are easy to work with. if you have the time you can do all the same stuff they do by yourself however.

The only problem I have had is I moved (military) and got a different phone number. Make sure you let them know. We did not. What happens the creditor has to call the number on file. if they don't get you on that number they stop calling and deny credit. Nothing wrong with that. However I called them and they said this is not your number you are calling from. Correct so ask me the confirmation questions, "sir we can't do that unless the number is correct" It takes at least two weeks for you to get the number changed. So always give them a cell phone number so you can use it from anywhere. When they ask you confirmation question they ask some really strange question. I did not know the answer to them, I asked where she got the questions she said by public search, I then told her to hold on why I did a google search for the answers and she said fine. I couldn't believe it.

I will not renew with them.

So all in all, it's kind of a hassle if you've set it up then move or change any of the info you've given them?

yes and no. If you do it your self with the credit reproting guys you would have the same hassel and with each individual one. At least you only have to do it once with Lifelock and they contact everybody for you. If you don't plan on moving for a while it is not a bad thing. I am not dropping them because of service or anything, I have jsut learned how to do it myself now.

I know we'll be here for a minimum of 4 more years. At least til I'm out of school anyway.

Thanks for your help. ;)

Is that the company that shows the guy's social security number? Because after they ran those ads, they had to pull 'em because hundreds of people were using his SS # to get driver's licenses. Hahah. I wouldn't use it.

I know this source isn't the most reputable, but I'm not in a google mood:
