Me too. I kind of lost interest when all the original characters were gone. I'm watching tonight, though.

All I can say is "thank God" - should have done it years ago.
If I saw one more ad for a "very special episode of ER" I was going to have to shoot up the place.

the ending with Carter asking Rachel if she was coming was a nice nod to the beginning of ER, with Dr. Greene asking Carter if he was coming - the basketball shots, the twins being born - all nods to original cast and the beginnings of ER - great finale - great series -

The moment of silence when Frank realizes that Rachel is Dr. Greene's daughter was one of the tiny gems that made that show great. Troy Evans (the actor who played Frank) did not overdo it or get maudlin, it was just right. The final pullback to reveal the entire building was a nice touch too. All in all the show last night did a great job of closing the circle.

I kinda liked the hommage to Michael Crichton that they had right about 15 minutes into the second hour. while milling around outside the comment is made "global warming...they should send some of those scientists here in April" (or something to that effect)

ER was almost the only Network show that both my wife and I liked equally well. We will miss it. I am looking forward to the new cop show; my wife is not. ;)

At least they didn't pack up all of their technology and fly it into the sun so they could gather bugs and berries for the rest of their miserable lives like on my finale.....

Why was Carter's wife so mean to him? I loved Carter!!

Do you think we'll eventually see the cast of this show in a movie? You know, make the leap to the big screen?

I really liked the very ending with the theme song and the view of "County...the L going by.
That has stayed with me longer than it should have already.

I was glad to see Rachel had gotten herself straightened out after being on drugs and drinking when her dad was dying. Either way, I wish they had made one more season with her as an ER med student!
