Program Field Engineer
Summary:
This is an opportunity to join a dynamic company working with security related products. The Program Field Engineer will travel mostly around North America installing security products and visiting customer sites and working with the customer to determine how the equipment will fit into their facilities. We are looking for a highly motivated person that loves to travel are work with their hands. The travel will be from 50% to 75% of the time.
Major objectives:
<LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1">Plan and supervise field installations and act as point of contact between field personnel, the customer and the program manager as required <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1">Perform site surveys to determine optimal placement of equipment <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1">Provide program Technical Support <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1">Ensure Perceptics’ fulfillment of the engineering scopes of work within program contracts. <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1">Document site preparation instructions through engineering drawings <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1">Interact with internal and external customers to develop project requirements
Manage project schedules to ensure on time and on budget delivery
Qualifications:
<LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l2 level1 lfo2">Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Five (5) to Ten (10) years related experience.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
<LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo3">Solid experience troubleshooting hardware and software and electrical equipment, systems and wiring <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo3">Experience installing camera equipment <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo3">Experience working with security related equipment <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo3">Experience working on government contracts <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo3">Strong knowledge of NEC <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo3">Surveying experience <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo3">CBP security clearance
