My friend from high school needs prayer so badly. She's been divorced for years, her father died years ago, her mother died 7 years ago, her only son died 2 years ago. Now her only daughter and relative died of a stroke last week. Sometimes we feel so sorry for ourselves, but look at her, without even one relative.

And mine.
With the LORD in her life and good friends like mgifford, loneliness won't happen.
So, I pray for the LORD to be with her 24/7 in ways she cannot doubt -- and to bring dozens and dozens of true friends into her every day world to make sure there are no unfilled holes to make her sad.

I don't know if you remember or not, JWIL, but when your precious son was injured, I prophesied to you that, your son wouldn't pass because of your "faith, prayer for others, and your sowing and reaping. I have one reason for telling you this. Glory to Him!
Because of your "always" being there for all others, you simply would be the one who stood in the "gap" and didn't choose who you'd pray for, or waver. Thank God for you.
You see, sowing and reaping are not only paying tithes or working in the church, but sowing prayer for others also.
Dear, Rhet, you are also a "gap" between the power of God and those of us who suddenly find ourselves suffering.
God just last week healed me so miraculously that others find it very hard to believe. However, I have the tests to prove it. Thank God.

She is more definitely in my prayers...I am praying that she will be able to find comfort with her friends and the Lord.
God Bless

Hello Mgifford,
Your Friend from HS has has my prayers to the Good Lord. It appears that the Book of Job and Job himself has found a kindred spirit. A really tough place to be but the Kingdom promised seems to have a way of overcoming our doubts and trials. I pray that this will be true in every way for this Lady. Seems to me our relatives and friends will be showing us the way Home when our time comes. Your friendship now is very moving indeed and this Lady is Blessed because of it, as are we by your fine example of what friendship means.
Be well,
Jim

Losing one's parents is hard enough, however to bury one's child has to be about the worst of the worst.
My heart goes out to your friend mgifford. However, she obviously has you. Sometimes we think we are doing great because we have a large number of friends, however I have always felt that if, if I had just one good, true friend, then I had more than anything in this world could by.
I will say a prayer for your friend tomorrow at Palm Sunday Mass.
God bless you and God bless your friend.

Thanks to all. It was difficult when she lost her mother, then her son and now her daughter. She has no one left who's a relative.

I truly hate it when I see Job's sorrows played out in the present day world.
I pray the LORD show her His Mercy and bring to her new joys even as He gave to Job when his own Time of Sorrow ended in the fullness of time.
