Has anyone here had these? My mom is getting hers done next week. I'm just wondering what your results were.

FYI: They're like Lasik surgery, but it fixes close and far vision, where as Lasik only fixes one.

Though it was when he was 8 weeks old at the time now he is now almost 4 months old and getting HUGE.

Beautiful puppy!! Ours was actually dropped off on my mom's dirt road when she was 5 1/2 weeks old and wondered to my mom's front porch. She's actually been a blessing to us. My son named her Tucker. They're best buds. :D

Are you talking about lens implants following cataract surgery?

If so, I have two friends who just within the last month or so have them implanted. They said it was instantly effective. They still have to wear reading glasses, but their mid to long range vision was completely restored. Depending on the accuracy of the lens focus to eyeball dimensions, glasses may still be required, but neither of my friends needed them.

Same story with my Dad. Got them after cataract surgery. Worked great for him.

I have new lens in both my eyes due to cataracts. Work fine for me, improved my vision to 20/10 in the left eye and 20/30 in the right eye. I only need glasses for the fine print in a lot of legal papers. ;)

That's the implant. My mom's darn nearly blind and lives alone, so she wanted this so she can get up in the middle of the night to go potty (I'm a mom, sorry for the PG rating here) and in case someone breaks in (God forbid) that she doesn't have to scurry around to find her glasses to see. It's her 50th birthday present to herself. I'm glad your friend had good results with it, I'm hoping my mom will have the same.

Sounds like really good results. I'm sure you are happy with your decision, right. ;)
