With the recent revelations of der Fuhrer Obama saying that cap and trade is non-negotiable, ramming provisions through congress without proper debate, and a "not more of the same" debt not perpetrated by Obama and the democrats, I think while the Tea Parties are a great way to get started but should ultimately serve as a stepping stone to something we should have done when GW and Congress passed the first TARP and/or Stimulus.
Stay at home. Shut the country down for a couple of days. Most of the legislation that Chairman Maobama is trying to rush through, like the Cap and Trade stuff, is going to add an average of $3,100 a year to your budget in extra spending as companies offset the costs of this garbage. This is going to affect anyone with a job making more than $25,000 a year.
The loss in revenue, the loss of services, and the loss of tax dollars, if done with a large number of people, is going to be tremendous. Remember the effect on Gas prices right after Katrina? You had a few major pipelines and refineries go down and it sent prices spiraling upwards...and that was just three states.
I wouldn't begin to know where to start, except by maybe calling one of the major radio stations with a lot of listeners.
Imagine if all 20+ million Rush listeners didn't go to work one or two days... That would have a pretty big impact. Now, imagine if we got 46 million... incidentally, the same number of Palin voters. We could really do some damage. No school buses, no school, no packages being shipped, no buildings going up. This affects business, and business would start putting their money with politicians who wouldn't cut the legs off of the Ox that's pulling the cart.
Whadda' ya' think?
