As long as they stay within the law, more power to them.
They need to rail on the idiots of the world for being fiscal idiots.
Maybe some persistent rioting will happen, to get the point across.
And in addition, hopefully G20 will break down so that the USA does not end up being a part of "global idiocy"

Most of the protestors are extreme anarchists, and would have protested the event no matter what the economic environment was

Tons of those protesters are anti-capitalist or socialist.

Does anyone know when Obama is supposed to be in Switzerland? I'm in the mood for a sensible, peaceful protest.

Reguardless of political bent I find most protestors to be of just one persuasion, morons without jobs.

Unlike myself you've never policed one of these protests I suspect.
You talk about getting the point across. For the lumpen unwashed who will turn up to these protests there is no "point"; there is, rather, a set of miscellaneous and unconnected grievances which give spurious grounds for their inchoate rage.
I would not be in the least bit surprised if these "protests" result in serious injury or worse. Be careful what you wish for.

I think you should clarify who you are talking about here. I can understand your feelings regarding "career protestors" but a lot of the people protesting or considering joining the protests have lost their jobs recently or are in danger of losing their jobs. They are not morons.

I think the number one objective of the protestors is to get the G20 to agree some stringent bank regulation across the 20 nations. Probably not the kind of objective a lot on here would cheer on.
Like most of these protests the objectives are much too vague and woolly!

The first time I hear anything about body fluids flying like always happens I would say they don't care about the law.

they are socialists,communists and anarchists.
Then there are Libtard democrats who scream bloody murder why they aren't entitled to be socialists, communists and anarchists.

And what if there is ONE person there with a legitimate beef? Or are you saying it is impossible?

Well, yes. the minute anyone crosses the line....whip out the mace, the tear gas, and some nice shiny new police batons.

Where's Richard Daley, Sr. when you need him? I thought his boys did a pretty good job handling the 68 Democratic Convention once the Yippies admittedly decided to agitate the police.

Any sane person that has been in the middle of a mob fueled by either anger, alcohol, passionate politics or all of the above know that it is humanity at it's near worst. When mobs confront and challenge authority or the forces of civility dangerous things can happen. Some individuals enjoy it but they are usually the ones agitating and not suffering injury.
Pray for civility.

Unfortunately regulation by central banks caused the problems. Adding more regulation will be like giving a Band-Aid to a heart attack victim.

Rush was just playing clips of reporters and what they're saying, and 1 guy from a British news place said the "protests aren't against Obama at all" LOL. Of course they have to protect Obama's image, can't have the Obamabots getting upset at home here.

actually I imagine most of the protestors are liberal nutjobs who want more free money.
there might be a few in there that are anarchists, and possibly a few protesting the idiotic overspending policy by world leaders.
In any case, I'm glad G20 is being protested. Hopefully it will sway things a little to bit to where nothing is agreed on.

What are they protesting anyway. George Bush isn't there.
My point is that if Bush were there,
the MSM would make it a point to say that these protestors are there for one reason:
1) because they hate George Bush

And perhaps this attitude held by conservatives is why they are losing influence on the nation. More levels of political involvement is necessary.
