Conservatives, who is the most embarrassing conservative? The one conservative you wish would just shut up, and go away?
Would it be a conservative official caught up in a financial or sexual scandal? Or one given to 'controversial' statements, or public stunts?
Maybe it is someone like a Ron Paul, who our local conservative talk radio host referred to as 'cuckoo'. Or someone like a Tancredo, Hunter or Keyes who ran for the GOP nomination and struggled to gain 2% support.
Or maybe it isn't a politician at all, but a conservative talk radio host, or author given to truly outrageous claims or statements.
I won't post a poll, I'd be sure to leave someone off, so just your own ideas.
And since I know I'll be asked, Jack Murtha, Nancy Pelosi, and Barney Franks are among the most embarrassing liberals I can think of.

What did you hope to accomplish with this thread that couldn't be accomplished with the other thread/poll asking pretty much the same question?
The most embarrassing Republican thread?
Because that thread was about Republicans, not conservatives. And the prevalent opinion was that the moderates or RINO's were the most embarrassing.
The questions may be related, but they are different.

My vote?
Who was the guest on Hannity, before the election, that claimed to have 'evidence' on Obama but never came through with it? He had talked to Sean on the phone and was clearing customs out of Africa or somewhere, then he just never showed.
He had also written a book about the twin towers being some type of governmental conspiracy. That was embarrassing. But I can't recall his name.
My second vote would be Ann Coulter. I know some here cringe when ever she says something outlandish.

I love Ann Coulter and Michael Savage!
They just crack me up how they mock liberals.
Liberals are so stupid they just don't get it either that's why it's all the more funny!
Conservatism doesn't embarrass me.

As borderline deranged as Savage sometimes gets, he makes me laugh, has a vastly greater vocabulary, and has a much more topically diverse program than other highly rated hosts, who will remain nameless.

Too tough to make a list.
Get criticized for leaving someone off.
Or listing someone, say Bush for example, because some would say that isn't a conservative.

Savage doesn't bother me too much, he's fun to listen to. I must admit, I'm not much of a talk radio guy, I enjoy it when I do, but I'm usually busy doing something else. And because I live in the west coast, I'm at work during the time rush/sean/levin/savage are on.

Glenn is a tough one for me. Here's why:
Sometimes I am really interested in the topic &/or what his guest is saying but then he distracts & undermines them, and sometime even the topic b/c of the goofy faces he makes WHILE they're talking. A regular viewer/loyal listener may 'get it' but I fear it could lose or turn away an otherwise potential ally from the 'cause' because they are distracted by his body language of facial expressions.
JMHO of course... http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j311/neworleansgal/Smiley%20Faces/confused246ey1in.gif

But the biggest embarrassment to conservatives is anyone who grasps so poorly what conservatism is that he says stupid-ass stuff that is more racist or bigoted or jingoist than it is principled.
Conservatives, for example, often get saddled (by ignorant or self-serving liberals) as advocates of the belief system that holds, "My country right or wrong!" Whatever else that kind of thinking might be, it's not conservatism.
