The US confuses the world community with lack of continuty and consistency.
Our foreign policy changes every 4 (maybe 8 years) with the election of a new president, which changes policies, and with this president trying to change our capitalist system into a socialist system.
Barack Obama might be president as was GW Buck, B Clinton, Bush Sr. Ron Reagan, and Jimmy Carter. The job of the president is to follow the constitution as written applying ‘constitutional law as was passed since the creation of the US.
The job of the president is not to change our system, but to protect the system as it exists. He is a STEWARD of the government. He MUST maintain continuity of policy and standards. If the president does not maintain consistency in government the results would be chaos with our allies, and the world which we need.
On a side note, every democracy goes through the same process, look at UK, France, Italy, Canada etc. Yet there are some countries that never seem to have these kind of problems, there foreign policy never changes, the population know where they stand as citizens. I am talking about China. I have chat friends in China and we often compare life and politics.
This last part will seem very strange for those who know me as a Vietnam Veteran for 3 years, fought the VC - NVA and the Chinese. Now I find preparing myself wanting to permanently move to China and if I die in China , be buried in China.
I would say that about 100% of Barack Obama’s policies is my driving force. Like the liberals who threatened to move out of the US when Bush was elected. I will go through with this.
