Incredible!.....Has there ever been anything like this?.....A President reading off a Giant Monitor to start a news conference?.....A chief of staff trading blackberries in the back of the room while the President answers questions....A country being lead in time of crisis by someone totally unaffected by public sentiment....Such a dry, unimpassioned delivery to the masses.....What's next?.....HAL from Space Odyssey to lead us out of the economic malaise?....

Usually those who play the Great and powerful Oz are better at hiding the 'man behind the curtain' trick. Obama is young...hasn't been in politics long enough to have learned the finese and savvy ways of a press conference. Heck...I give him better grades then his darn Press Secretary...that poor guy is just lost! No...I don't care if Obama uses his beloved teleprompters or a big screen monitor...Could care less what his staff is doing in the back of the room...What I care about is these policies and new legislation he's trying to sell the American public...now that's scary stuff!
We've had Presidents who make it look far to easy to run the country...we've had Presidents who couldn't find the Constitution with both Houses, a flash light and a shovel! Obama has time to mature as a politician...and will be graded not on his attire, his monitors and lap tops...but how well he did his job. Which right now I'd say...the guy needs as much help as he can gather about him so he doesn't send it all down the swirling bowl! :wall:

I really don't understand the mentality of those who think we should continue to help Obama...Like Nero he fiddles while Rome burns....While the economy falls apart he is busy rating basketball teams and appearing on Leno....He smiles and jokes all the while barely able contain his glee on 60 minutes for the demise of banking and automobile industries...This is a man who definately doesn't feel our pain...Incrementally he intends to take away our freedom using every step of the crisis to as an excuse to trample on the US Constitution....Fortunately there are now a band of real Americans that are beginning to realize the jeopardy this tyrant is puting us in with his reckless policies....Will you be there when liberty needed you most? Surely the defense of liberty is worth standing up for......

I believe as this presidency matures we will see just how bad our grandparents had it...until now those were only stories. Our economy is broken crutches for the rest of the world and by the way it looks will not be repaired anytime soon. I also watch Glenn Beck and his show gets scarier by the day. Revolution? Depression? Worse, Anarchy? President Obama quit sharing my wealth and start sharing my work ethic.

I remember during the campaign, then Senator Obama opined how then President Bush was not communicating enough with the nations populace. I remember distinctly his promise to be not only transparent...but to bring the Ivory towers of Washington down to the the 'average man'. I guess appearing on Jay Leno, and playing the brackets is his way of doing just that? Who knows? Who cares?
You want change? Then the American people are going to have to take back their government...actually get re-involved with their government and the running of the country..and be informed on what new polices and governmental officials are doing in Washington. For far to long, we the people have rested on our laurels, allowing the few to do for the many. We've become lazy. Lazy in the sense of our trust. Most of us just turn on the news and trust we are hearing the whole story. Most American's squawk about individual responsibilities when it comes to our government..giving cheap lip service to an idea...but few actually raise a hand to help in completeing or acting out those responsibilities.
AT some point, lazy thinking and opining for someone to take care of this mess isn't going to work anymore. I may not like Obama, or his polices or his ideologies...but he may have a larger purpose to serve within our culture...getting average every day American's to stand on their own two feet...use their own brains to think issues out..and do something about them.
Again, pointing out a wanna be culture fascination the public may have with Obama is not going to solve our issues as a nation. You want to point to something...make something change?...find something better then large screen monitors, lap tops, play yards on the west lawn, and Jay Leno's appearances to point too. Start picking apart the legislation you don't agree with and call your congressmen and senators...Pick apart Obama's plan and come up with questions or solutions to inundate our congressmen and senators with...Vote those out of office who don't meet the standard that you expect of them...get involved on a local level...help educate your neighbors on issues and why you believe we are heading into an abyss to which there is no return.
In other words...do something about it...don't just sit there gumming on about some stupid side dish type gossip or empty complaints that won't do squat to help our country!
