Is this guy actually listening to what he says? He claims that he wants to foster "ingenuity" but doesnt say that he is going to tax the crap out of those who do and will take whatever steps necessary to continue the democrats way of penalizing those of us who bust our hump and sacrifice to make our lives better. I am a single mom who put herself through undergrad (accounting degree) and law school just so I could make the SOB ex pay the child support he owed. By the way, he owes zero now.
Now that I make the "big bucks," I do not get a deduction for the interest that I pay on my student loans (I make too much), I am not entitled to deduct amounts spent on my daughter's college tuition (I make too much), I do not get any stimulus rebates/cuts (I make too much), and other deductions are capped because = you guessed it - I make too much!! Why did I do all that? Undergrad? Law School? Work toward helping my daughter go to college? If it just ends up costing me so much in taxes and inability to get tax cuts for such spending (to further me and my daughter's future stability). RIDICULOUS.
Getting paid the child support owed by my ex did not happen because the government helped me. Quite the opposite. Child Support Enforcement Agency turned out to be an oxymoron and I had to do whatever necessary to collect the support myself and my daught. Forget big government, just let the American people use their god given talents and character traits to forge ahead, become successful and there is no limit to what we can do as individuals and as a nation.
This whole "the rich are getting all the tax cut" crap has to stop. So many people do not understand that the top 1% of income earners take on over 40% of the entire tax burden. While about 50% of the taxpayers in the lower tax brackets pay NOTHING. But those same 50% are the ones who get a stimulus check. Its tantamount to welfare with those who bust their hump again getting stuck with the bill and being made out to be the villains just because they used their skill, witt, ingenuity and tenacity to get where they are today.
This SOCIALIST agenda MUST BE STOPPED NOW, before me and others like me throw our hands up and just take a minimum wage job with low stress and then - ingenuity and the entreprenuerial spirt dies.
