Click the photo to go the the Wikipedia article. No Wikipedia bashing, please. The article is accurate enough.
In English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, ancient Chinese, and Russian, the Georgia Guidestones state that the worldwide population should remain under 500 million ("in perpetual balance with nature.")
And before you begin screaming about me and my conspiracy theories, I draw your particular attention to the section concerning ownership. No one seems to know exactly who owns the monument or the land. Is this not one more suspicious fact about a monument which prominently advocates a global population reduction of some 80 percent?

Primarily due to the fact that the Earth is not sentient.

I have it on very good authority that David Rockefeller is in actuality a lizard man who can shape change into a human form but is not really human.

My point is that Man is neither capable of destroying the Earth nor saving the Earth. Earth got along just fine before we came along and will do just fine long after we are gone.

Not sure the 'smart ass' claim has as much traction any more.

If China's "one-child" policy in effect since the 1970's hasn't worked (and it hasn't, China still expects to add 300 Million more citizens between now and 2050 peaking at 1.6 Billion from today's 1.3 Billion) then how is any plan supposed to have negative growth?
http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/03/10/china.onechild/
There needs to be another plan to address the problem because cutting population isn't realistic, not even with draconian steps like China has tried.
I suggest we embrace global warming. It's supposed to decimate humanity, right? Therefore it's the easiest and most cost effective solution to the population problem. Bring on the greenhouse gasses!
Drive an SUV and save the world, eh?

You laugh, but I bet Stalin would have loved to have Global Warming as his excuse for starving the Kulaks to death instead of one 'famine' after another, year after year.

Uncle Joe Stalin was pretty unapologetic about his policies and wasn't the type to make excuses. Besides, the whole global warming sham doesn't really work in Siberian permafrost.
Conservatives aren't the beach bums living on the coast. Global warming only scares liberals. Me, I live in the Sonoran Desert 1,000 feet above sea level, so what do I care? I like it hot and I'm not a big fan of the beach.
Leave that junk for the libs and get out!

Well if we ask for volunteers to help us stop global warming, we can just convince them that in order to help for the good of the earth they must chase lemmings off of a cliff. I am sure they would be all for helping...

What happens when/if we evolve to have the capability to destroy a planet (literally) with technology? We are already learning to control the weather. Another hundred, two hundred years, who knows what we could do, how about a thousand years from now?
