Class warfare at its downright ugliest:
BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - Three California families headed to a retreat for the ultrarich were among the 14 victims of a plane crash in Montana.

They're just reporting the facts.
And carrying on an ancient journalism tradition, the "paths of glory lead but to the grave" story.
God rest the victims, and comfort their loved ones.

There is no media bias. I have been told this many times so it must be true.

I agree, it's a sad story that certainly didn't require the reference. Three families heading off for a vacation would have been fine.

Why don’t you hold your breath until you hear about “welfare recipients” being part of an accident story.
Just part of the story.

Are you saying that the word ultrarich doesn't ad to the story? Its clear to me that this would not have happened if they were going to the retreat for the ultrapoor.

I wonder how soon it will be before the media starts to blame President Obama for all of these plane crashes since his inauguration.
Let's see, there was the plane that ended up in the Hudson. There was the crash in Buffalo. There is this one in Montana. There is the cargo plane that just blew up. Interesting.

With all due respect the Yellowstone Club's own website link in a search lends itself to the forwarding of the term in the news article.
Ultra exclusive, private club offering the ultimate in skiing, golfing, land, and residences.
AP LINK (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090323/ap_on_re_us/plane_crash_montana_33)
Relatives of the victims said they had been traveling to the Yellowstone Club for a skiing vacation. The club, near Yellowstone National Park, is a millionaires-only resort that counts former Vice President Dan Quayle and Microsoft founder Bill Gates among its 340 members.

typical liberal. Exactly how is "carrying on an ancient journalism tradition" tossing in the "ultrarich" crack about the tragedy suffered by these people and their families? I guarantee you there would be no such crack if it had been some "ultrapoor" vacation spot.

What a tragic and sad news story.
As far as the "Ulra-Rich" crack goes... It's the ULTRA-leftist AP spitting their class warfare venom at the folks that died (mostly children) for political reasons. How big of them.

Nonsense.
You're reading your own populist politics into a routine news story.
There's nothing wrong here.

9 words into the story and they use the term "untra-rich"
Read this story and let me know when you find out the party affiliation of this scumbag:

I read it on an Oregon feed and I thought it was just the Portland media.
The phrase did catch my attention.
My interpretation of putting "ultrarich" in there, is to decouple the incident from everyday life by showing that such things do not happen to normal folks.

These are probably the same people who were upset about the search parties going out after the lost climbers on Mt Hood a couple of years ago. I seem to remember some lefties getting all upset about all of this over "a couple of rich white guys".

Really when do you ever read of a story involving tragedy with terms like "superpoor". LOL. Never. So you fail.

It is a pitty these people died. I think they are happily in Heaven as we discuss this.
My prayers go out to their surviving relatives except for their father, Bud.

We hear about someone being poor when the media wants us to think their death was caused from being poor (i.e. rich people didn't care enough, so this person died) instead dying from a lack of common sense.
Or simply being unfortunate.
I did not choose to have my parents divorce, or for her to not get a high school diploma nor for her to develop personal problems that caused her difficulty in overcoming her circumstnaces.
But she finally did overcome her difficulties and held a good paying job at General Dynamics until the free traders decided it would be better for America if our jet harnesses were built in Mexico.
Then she returned to struggling through life.
By the Grace of God, I got my college eductaion and have a family that is well cared for.
But most people cannot travel the road I have and they need some help up the ladder, especially before the free traders sell the last rung to India or China.

Please correct me if I am incorrect, but didn't the ultrarich Kennedy boy crash his airplane into a fogbank over the Atlantic ocean a few years ago and wasn't it treated like a tragedy to lose someone so young and vital? Media BIAS? Nnnnnaaaaahhhhh. Couldn't be.
