Why is it that most everyone, even those in political opposition to Obama, feel compelled to temper their criticism of his politics & policies with statements such as 'Obama's a very smart guy, he'll eventually ______(fill in the blank)'
What tangible proof do we have to prove that he actually DOES possess above average intelligence? He graduated from Harvard? No transcripts. Editor of the Harvard Law Review? Not a single article published. Never owned or ran a business. No defining moments in the state or US senate...voted present most of the time (and continues to do so as president).
Isn't more plausible that Obama is basically a guy of average intelligence and above average ambition, who has happened to be in the right place at the right time, a typecast actor cast in the ultimate role by a powerful political machine?
It would explain a lot, most notably why Obama spends so little time in the Oval Office with his 'nose to the grindstone' working on the real problems of our country, and so much time gadding about the world so everyone can see he is 'on the job'.
I am a sales manager by trade, and a tell tale symptom of a field sales rep not being qualified as a high profile account manager is when they spend a disproportionate amount of their time dealing with small, unprofitable acounts that are in their comfort zone so as to look busy, instead of going after major business opportunities a 'A' level accounts. They also spend a lot of time 'in transit' to and from the fringes of their territory to account for their time. The fact is, these sales reps are in way over their heads and do not possess the knowledge, skills, or confidence to effectively do the job, and THEY KNOW IT! But they believe if they talk the talk & don't let you pin them down and continue to play the game, one day things will all of a sudden change and they will magically transform into that talented high profile account rep. (it never happens).
To me, Obama seems like this Peter Principle sales rep, hoping that by throwing obscene amounts of money at the problem and spending all his time selling us this latest bill of goods like he sold America on his message of 'change', he can ride out the storm until the cycle swings back & things turn around on their own. And like the sales rep, when the house of cards ultimately collapses, he will have already moved on, leaving someone else to clean up the mess left behind.
