BOSTON (AP) — Curt Schilling (http://fantasybaseball.usatoday.com/content/player.asp?sport=MLB&id=1519) retired from baseball Monday after a career in which he won World Series titles with the Boston Red Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks and was one of the game's most dominant pitchers and grittiest competitors.

Best of luck to one of the games best pitchers. His time at Arizona will always remain special in its history.

Liked that he always stepped up when it mattered, in Boston, Philly and Arizona. He wanted the ball when it was on the line.

I hate you and every other Diamondback fan for suborning criminal activity.
What criminal activity? The robbery of Ed Wade by Joe Garagiola, Jr, who stole Curt Schilling out from under our noses.

BOSTON -- Curt Schilling (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?playerId=2112) retired from baseball Monday, ending a career in which he won World Series titles with the Boston Red Sox (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/clubhouse?team=bos)Arizona Diamondbacks (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/clubhouse?team=ari) and was one of the game's most dominant pitchers and grittiest competitors. The 42-year-old right-hander said on his blog (http://bugsandcranks.com/38pitches/) he's leaving after 23 years with "zero regrets." Schilling missed all of last season with a shoulder injury after signing a one-year, $8 million contract.
"The things I was allowed to experience, the people I was able to call friends, teammates, mentors, coaches and opponents, the travel, all of it, are far more than anything I ever thought possible in my lifetime," he wrote.
Thanks Curt. You helped Boston attain the heights where they now reside. Enjoy your retirement.

Game 7 of the WS and the bloody sock come first and foremost to mind. The Cy Young race with Randy Johnson is a close second.

Don't feel bad. Every legitimate and closet Yankees fan in South Korea during the 2001 World Series hated me as well.

Was referring to the Game 7 of the 01 WS. Taking the mound on short rest for the biggest game of his career at that time.
And the bloody sock as two separate incidents.

What a career-defining moment. Regardless of what team you are a fan of, if you have to respect that kind of toughness.
