The tournament is underway. Michigan is currently playing Air Force, unfortunately no radio station that I get is airing the game and I don't get ESPNU so I can't follow the game live. :(
Go Blue.

I was planning on being at the regionals here this weekend but I was very disappointed in the regional assignments. They sent Michigan to the East, and gave us Notre Dame-vs-Bimidji st and Northeastern -vs- Cornell.
ND may draw some local fans, and I think Cornell may have some travelers, but there's not much for me to pay $60 for. They could've at least given us Ohio St and/or Miami Oh.
The previous regionals here have drawn good crowds of approx 8,000 but with only ND to draw local fans they won't be anywhere near that this time.

I'm still pulling for the Arizona Icecats in the ACHA!
Hey - they have Bill O'Reilly as Honourary Captain this year!

Go BU!
I root for Bucknell University when it comes to hockey but they don't have a big hockey program.

What is your connection to Boston University?

Is the division 1? I didn't think there were any schools that far south that played division 1 ice hockey.

What is your connection to Boston University?
No real connection. Northeastern team. Rizzo, Silk, and Jim Craig all played there. O' Callahan made the hit that led to the USA's first goal in the Miracle game. I think the Miracle team was one of the greatest teams and best stories in the history of sports. Boston University was a huge part of that team.
I love the tradition and excellence of the program.

Well BU is killing Ohio State so I'll get to watch the B-ball game without much worry.

Really? I thought the "Miracle on Ice" team was mostly made up from players from Minnesota.
As much as I like to talk about Michigan hockey, the most prestigious event in college hockey is the Beanpot Tournament. The Boston area is the tops when your talking about college hockey history and tradition in one area.

It was.
Being from the Northeast though I gravitate to Northeastern teams, and the legacy of the teams, including those four players I mentioned above are a huge part of why I root for them over other teams.

Well we got our Frozen Four now. Don't really got any one school that I am really pulling for. Nice to see Miami represent to CCHA well. Besides Miami, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Bemidji State are also going.

Probably club hockey.
And since I'm here, congrats to Neumann (PA) for taking the Division III crown (have to root local, and I'm walking distance from their campus).
