Was watching the History or Discovery channel tonight, and one segment of a show was about the Taser. It got me to thinking about people who oppose waterboarding. Because here we have this weapon that is fired at people and they get "creamed" as far as their will to act is concerned.
What are your views about these two when compared together?
The Taser is used by law enforcement nationwide. Seems it causes great discomfort, and occassional injuries from falls.
So if Tasers are fine, should the use of them justify waterboarding?
Anyone against the use of both? For both?

I don't care what is done to terrorists.
As far as I am concerned the moment they chose a life of terror, they surrendered all their rights, period.

I like the water + electricity dynamic! I bet if you use the two together at the same time then we can start talking about real torture

Tasers and waterboarding are equitable on some level, I suppose, but I think waterboarding is a bit more serious. It initiates a drowning feeling, from my understanding, that makes you feel like you're dying.
Tasers? It's just like becoming paralyzed. Not as bad.

Does it matter? Whichever produces the best results is the "right" one....that's MHO at least.
If putting one side of a set of jumper cables on a Semi-Truck battery and the other side on Khalid Sheikh Muhammad's testicles gets results...*that* is the right one.

As long as information is obtained which saves American (or any other so-called "Infidels") lives, I don't care what method of torture is used against these animals.

Tasering is to incapacitate. Waterboarding is done to people that are already incapacitated.
