Phoenix, Arizona is the kidnapping capital of the USA, and Obama wants to send fresh young starry-eyed liberal kids door to door? They'll get beaten, raped, killed, robbed, and stabbed en masse if they try that in this city.

The local newspaper won't even hire minors for paperboys anymore because when the paperboys would go knock on doors to collect on subscriptions, he'd go missing and turn up dead in a canal somewhere.

You don't go sending kids door to door! Not even the Girl Scouts do that to sell cookies anymore.

This dumb plan is criminally stupid and will get hundreds of kids hurt. Obama hasn't got a lick of common sense.

But that said I dont think this will be very succesfull. Its basically a way just to get names and addresses to solicit future donations from.

I don't see it as remotely disingenuous........Obama's policies take a back seat to the cult of Obama itself, who view the man as MORE than his policies. It is most DEFINITELY a cult of personality!

This guy and his minions take California politics and push them out somewhere towards Pluto.

The initiative/petition process is a normal thing in CA. People stand near Target or other places where you can ensure large numbers of people flowing around. Sometimes they stand with clipboards, sometimes they have little tables with a sign. Rarely you see them on your front door, you discuss the issue if you wish, you turn them down if you don't.

But that is for support for getting something on the ballot. Having X number of signatures is required by law. Petitions say things like: Like 'Shall the city of XYZ allocate XYZ dollars for a homeless shelter?' It's not for supporting a politicians POLICIES!!!

Pledge card? That's the sign of true desperation. It also shows that he doesn't know how to do anything except CAMPAIGN, becuase this is true campaign behavior.

Leaders don't need pledge cards, they come up with good ideas that people can get behind...and will if they're good.

Notice at the Organizing for America canvass training video website that there is no symbol for America presented but there is right at the top of the page prominently displayed the Obama "O" symbol.

Notice in the actual canvass training video (the unedited one) that the Organizing for America pledges the canvassers are having people sign (seen in a close up) do not have the symbol of America on them but they do have the Obama "O" imprint.

Notice in the Organizing for America training video that the clipboards the canvassers are carrying do not have the symbol for America on them but they do have large Obama "O" symbols on them and are prominently and strategically placed for optimum viewing in the video.

Notice that even McClatchy gets it...

That video, the obama chearleader part of it, is sad. I'm amused by the part that tells the people at tally up the number of signatures they get and to celebrate what they have achieved... Wow.. it's the stick your own gold star on your own forhead reward. I guess that's one of the tricks that community organizers have in their bag of tricks.

If I run into any of these idiots today I plan on talking to them. Pointing out that since the paperwork has Obama's personal logo on it, it's a pledge to Obama not to our country. I will never pledge allegence to a person.. not to anyone. I'm going to ask them how they personally intend to pay their $25K in taxes Obama and the dem congress has put them in debt.... it will be $50K or more before these idiots are done robbing us and our children. Than I'm going to hand them a copy of the plege of allegiance and the pledge I took when I joined the Army. Those are the only two pledges of allegence I'll ever take.
