So, thanks to the president, our economy is in bad shape.
And, thanks to the president, we're not going to drill for our own oil.
Any guesses to what our gas prices will be this year?
I'll venture $4.50 at peak.

2 something if the economy stays in the tank. If people don't have jobs they can't drive places.

Back to over 3 dollars, but I think it stalls out and comes back down as more and more people will simply stop driving as they can't afford it in Abomination's horrible economy.

In Obama world, high gas prices will be the goal, so their world of small cars, or no cars, will be a reality. They will do it incrementally, but I expect that they will tax it so it will eventually be $4.00 a gallon. The rationale will be that they have to pay for the trillion dollar budget deficit, and if they repubs don't vote for it, then they are fiscally irresponsible.

I was gonna go with $3.00, but with Barry at the helm it certainly could go higher...

What happens when we dump trillions of dollars into the economy? All prices go up because the value of the dollar goes way down. Gas here in oregon is already back to 2.25 gallon. Obamas not dumb, he needs the gas price to hit atleast 7$ a gallon so he can keep advancing his tree hugging liberal agenda and the american people crawl to him so he can save us from ourselves. Don't people see whats going on. Its' like walking into a wall and standing there wondering why you did that. Doesn't everyone remeber theU.S.S.R. That country imploded an splintered apart because they went bankrupt. If we let the government have their way with us we may end up not being U.S.A. after they are done with us.

They want inflation right now... more attempts at manipulating the economy...that wil result in inflationary depression rather than deflationary recession...

So libs, when are you going to start blaming Bammy for higher gas prices? I expect the same treatment you gave Bush everytime gas prices went up, okay?

Well, we are printing "worthless" Money at record paces. In essence we are currently devaluing our own Dollar even more, all in the name of "Stimulus", and "Bailouts". So considering the effects of the devalued currency, added to everything else going on... I'm thinking $6.00 per Gallon (in some places) might not be out of the realm of possibility by the end of Summer.

I like $3.00, but the dollar will be so inflated that we will not be able to purchase the oil to refine it...

I think you are right, and already unfriendly countries will soon have no reason to continue using the dollar.

Jimmy Carter part II.
Double digit inflation and double digit unemployment.
Pretty darn spooky.

In The Carter Days...was the dollars as unvalued as it is today?

Gas prices will probably be around $4.00. That's the level they have determined that will 'stimulate' Americans into buying those junk electric and hybrid cars that the automakers can't get rid of when gasoline is in the $2.00 range.

Unfortunantly true.

With the oil bubble popped, I'd say a steady rise up to 2.50 by this summer. When the news of high inflation hits the news, 3.50-$4 in a year from now or sooner.
