View Full Version : Will Jon Stewart criticize Dodd for writing the bonus provision?

First Dodd lied and said he had nothing to do with it. Then the next day, he finally admits to adding the bonus provision language in the Stimulus under the direction of the Treasury.
Will Jon Stewart , the defender of everyman, come out and say something like:
I understand you want to make writing legislation entertaining, but it's not a [expletive] game,"

When Stewart calls out Dodd for doing his little dance regarding this bonus provision (ya know adamently denying it at first, then admitting to it the next day),
then come talk to me.

He can criticize Dodd for giving in to Obama, but I doubt Stewart will actually point fingers in the right direction.

Just an entertainer. No relevance.
Problem is, Jon not only thinks he's relevant, he thinks he's actually part of the Obama administration much like Chris Matthews when he said it was his JOB to make Obama look good.
These people are crazy. And we should mock THEM at every opportunity for being in the Obama Army.

No.
In his little monologue he might crack a joke...but getting him in for an actual tough interview? No.

John Stewart has gone after Dems many times.
Shoot he attacked them for stating we had lost in Iraq, among many other things.
Trust me. Stewart is not a partisan Host.

Just an entertainer. No relevance.
More people under the age of 30 Watched John Stewart for their Election news than any other source.
And that is even with John Stewart Openly admitting not only that he is an entertainer but that he tends to fudge the truth for dramatic effect quite often.
But that being said if a large group of voters is looking to him for news. He does hold relevance even if he is only an entertainer.

Well yes. That too.
Ya see, he attacked Jim Cramer in an effort to show how he's looking out for all of us. Right?
Well, in this latest dust-up with the AIG bonuses,
the average Americans are pretty darn furious.
Right now that bonus provision in the stimulus bill points to the Obama Admin and/or Chris Dodd.
So now, this should be John Stewart's cue to stand up for the folks like he did went he went after Jim Cramer.
If he doesn't, then his attack on Cramer was just retribution for Cramer recently criticizing Obama.
So is Jon Stewart on our side with this, or is he a soldier for Obama?

Yes, it's easier when you're predisposed to hate the opposition and can't handle when your own party is the butt of the joke.

Hmmm, not so much. Both Bushes and Reagan all joked about themselves quite a bit. Sarah Palin made a great self-depracating appearance on SNL. Obama and Hillary play it straight.

Well, I'd like to be the first to point out that tonight, Jon Stewart had a segment including clips of Dodd saying both that he didn't put it in the bill and then him saying that he did and criticized him for it. Are you willing to eat your words or do you just wanna whine about the liberal media some more?

He really nailed Obama on the vet insurance thing. "WHAT THE **** ARE YOU GUYS THINKING!!??? Veterans having to use their private insurance to pay for their combat related injuries? THAT CAN’T BE RIGHT."
Here's the clip of it:
