Pitt takes it.

Pitt takes it.
If it shakes out the way I suspect, they'll have to go through Villanova in the regional final. And 'Nova has the kind of athleticism inside (with Pena and Cunningham) that always gives Blair trouble.
It's the same reason I think Pitt will beat Florida State...they don't have a real answer for Toney Douglas, but Blair will eat Alabi alive.

The earlier Duke leaves the better, in my opinion.

I can support that. I am pulling for all of the Big East teams to do well.

The Big East was tough as heck this year. I really think this may be Pitt's year. Blair, Fields, and Young are just incredible. I love how physical Blair plays, he's a beast. And I'll be happy if WVU doesn't make it out of the first round...geez I hate WVU.

Why the hatred for Duke? They actually have students on their team who graduate. I've never heard of a Dukie getting arrested or having a recruiting violation. They maintain academic standards. And they win. I'll admit, Coach K is rather whinney but come on. They should be the model for all intercollegiat sports.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! I guess you forgot ol' JJ Reddick a couple of years ago??? Got arrested for DUI!!! Although I admit, your lacrosse players got railroaded by a golddigger. Though I remember hearing even most of the teachers at puke thought they were guilty.
Wake doesn't have that kind of thing happen, because quite frankly, they don't tolerate it. Also, Dino Gaudio may yell a lot, but he NEVER whines, unlike krzyzewski. Also, Wake athletes in ALL sports graduate (basketball alone has had 100% graduation rate over the last 8 years). Besides that, another reason I can't stand puke is because your pitcher hit my guy in the face last year! Tell your pitchers to keep the ball away from our guys' bodies!!
If there is any school out there who deserves to be a model for intercollegiate athletics, its Wake Forest.

Simple. I live in Kentucky. It is a requirement for citizenship in this commonwealth to hate Duke. I'm just fulfilling my civic duty.

Gee there's other teams in the bracket. Why not post the whole thing?

Duke isn't my team although I do normally root for them. I have nothing against Wake Forest - or UNC for that matter. Good schools with good honest programs. It just seems that Duke gets the hatred and I was wondering why.
Oh boy - a Duke alum got a DUI. Put the school on probation!

What's with CBS's love affair w/duke?
I think all the 1-16 / 2-15 games are on during the day- except for Louisville (giving the play-in winner a little extra time) and (of course) Duke, which plays in prime time (2nd game Thurs night).
How riveting do you thing the Duke - Binghamton game will be?

Duke-Binghamton, not so much.
Texas-Minnesota...now THAT's a good game.

I think Binghamton will crush Duke.
Well, I can wish anyway.

Nice pick on 'Nova. The cardiac kids at Pitt pulled it out, much thanks to Levance Fields...it's nice to see the Sweet 16 curse put behind them. Now I can start ruminating about Saturday night!

I gave Villanova no credit or respect. I didn't even have them in the Sweet Sixteen and now they are headed to the Final Four.

Nova impressed me all season. I'm not surprised they are doing so well. Of course if their 3 point shooting takes a game off, they're gone. But if they can keep that up, they could take it all.

I haven't been able to look at my brackets since Memphis lost on Thursday (pretty sure I had them winning it all :(( :(( ), but one I definitely remember was I had 'Nova in the Final Four.
I'm even more impressed with them knowing that Blair was never close to fouling out and he was perfect from the field. They just limited his touches and dared the rest of the Panthers to beat them.

Pitt had no reason to lose that game. Once again, offensive rebounding and free throws are the bane of their existence and they can only sit and wonder "what if". 'Nova played a heck of a game. I'm only now able to talk about it without feeling like screaming. Now we wait to see if "Big Man" will come out in the draft. I hope he stays, but we'll see.
