I'm a mailman and today I noticed 3 letters from "President Barack Obama DNC - Organizing change for America. 60 days that will change America"

Don't know what the 60 day thing is about. I could see through the envelope and read a little.

It read- "B. O. I agree. Change doesn't come from Washington it starts in communities like mine. (root word COMMUNE- HAW!!!!)

(something something)...the people like (something something)...thats why I'm supporting organizing a special project of (something)... with a gift of...

And from there I guess it asks for money.

We The Community!

Isn't it illegal for mailmen to read peoples' mail? Or does that only apply to opening it...?

Who cares what their mail says. If it was only three people, they were probably signed up for something.

Politicians and political parties send out requests for money. I don't see anything "OMG" about Obama sending out donation requests for the DNC anymore than I did about McCain sending out donation requests for the RNC.

I do see something "OMG" about a postman violating federal law and snooping through people's mail.

Reading mail all day is what I'm paid to do. At first I thought it was Obama talking about his community knowing whats best for us (OMG). Federal law violation??? ROTFLMAO Guess they have to put us all in jail.

As for mail being open. Its amazing how many peope are just to lazy to close it. There is a little rule about being quiet about what we find out about people. We know where all the crooks and loons are but no one would believe us. Then we hear about them getting caught and say yeah, no kidding.

I was trying to point out the DNC obsession with groups, communities and not individual people.

I got mail from Sean Hannity this week. He's soliciting money for charity. So, what's your point?

This doesn't jive with your op. If it were your job to read other people's mail, or if they didn't close the envelope, then you wouldn't have had to try to read through the envelope.

I call.

My point? didnt you read *** i just wrote??? Are you a postal manager?

The entire job ias computerized bown to the minute so thier is no time for getting the job done let alone doing anything else. So don't worry we're not having any fun. Most carriers are skipping their lunches and breaks for some insane boss butt kissing which I'll never understand.

Figures women would be upset at my post since the toughest thing they do all day is wait for the mail, try to figure out how to get it out of the box and be their kids best friend.

I'm not sure why you're so angry, especially at women.

It's a felony for you to snoop through others' mail, no?

I was a casual carrier for awhile. I wouldn't really worry about a mailman snooping, there is such a huge amount of mail and a short time to deliver it, it would be tough to read up on anyone. I don't know how he gets through the first of the month, I got fed up with those welfare checks and those who collected them in a hurry.

Well I myself wouldn't worry at all about Darf Tacos the "admitted" mail snooper snooping my mail since I live in Illinois and he claims to live in Pennsylvania.

Still I don't think it is wise for a person who claims to be a postal employee to come on a public forum and admit to "mail snooping".

Especially since this forum is monitored by the left for any little crumb of inappropriateness in the posting here that they can make hay out of off the Hannity board.

The most dangerous thing out there is a white person on welfare. Pitbulls are more friendly.

Do I have stories about that... I hated delivering welfare checks at all, but if I had to choose, the black neighborhoods were so much better, they would pretty much leave you alone and at least didn't act like they were entitled to it. The poor white neighborhoods were much more confrontational.

Does wearing only chaps count? If so, we'll have to start the Commando Club. "Where freedom and liberation starts in your pants"

I've got to agree with the rest of the guys here. As much ID theft and fraud going on in the world anymore, I wouldn't be broadcasting this all over the internet. I know the postal inspectors would have a field day with this thread.

Nah, real men wear regular leather chaps, you don't want anyone thinking you swing that other way or anything. Make sure to always have the matching vest on too, just to be sure.

Being a full bore ID Theft victim that is a very good point you bring up.

I take a very dim view of people in a position of public trust playing fast and loose with that with which they are entrusted, I. E. our mail!

I've seen what those inspectors can do, and they take it very seriously. I wouldn't want to be on their bad side. I try to talk about my postal experiences in general terms just because you could do something very damaging if you get into the specifics too much. For the most part, people were great, the crazy bearded lady trying to hunt down her welfare check is about as deep as I get into specifics.

Real "real men" could wear sequined Prada pumps and carry a matching clutch and not worry about anyone questioning which side of the clock their pendulum prefers because "real men" are just that secure in their manliness.

Good luck! Just be sure to be as assertive as possible and don't take "no" for an answer. And if they start taking swings at you, that just means they like you.
